Had My Dash Recovered, What Do You Think??

I had been trying to decide what to do about my dash on the 74 911S Im restoring. Most places I contacted wanted $650+ to recover the dash and felt it was really expensive. I sent a few PM's to members who had posted about their dashes and one recommended a guy named Mark at at VIP European in Tempe AZ so sent him a note. He was super responsive to my emails and all my dumb questions so decided to give them a try.

Here are the results.

Cost was around $400. Very pleased, especially considering the price.

Let me know what you think! If anyone is in the sacramento area(near placerville) you are welcome to come check it out.

David

Looks great! Were those plastic vents on the wrong side in the before pics?

Looks great. Vinyl or leather?

That looks great, nice price too. Anybody else ever heard of them or had work done with them? They are local to me and I could save on shipping by dropping the dash off.

I am betting it was vinyl considering the price. How close is the pattern of the 'hyde' compared to the original? Did he do the speaker cover as well? How long did it take from drop off to pick-up? And the most important question; Are you 100% completely satisfied?

That's more like it... For $400 you got a good deal.

And it looks nice...

Thanks Guys...

Yes the dash is wrapped in vinyl. Im really pleased with the texture/pattern. Its much much nicer than what was there originally. I can take a close up if you guys want to see that. No comparison and covered it in one piece with no seams. Considering the condition of the dash that I sent they did a remarkable job for the price IMHO.

Yes they did the speaker grill as well. I think he made a completely new one but not sure. The one I sent was quite warped.

I shipped the dash too them from Norcal. Turn around time was less than 2 weeks if I remember correctly. Pretty fast.

I didnt notices the vents before, but I think you are right, they appear to have been put in backwards. Weird since I dont think the dash had been removed before. Maybe it got a new windshield at some point and the installer did the for some reason.

I'm glad to see that there is someone out there doing quality dashboard work without charging an arm and a leg. I know where my dash is going.
