Who can restore/repair this fuel line?

I would like to get this fuel line restored back to its original condition (and most likely replace the lines).

Does anyone know of a place that does this?

That looks like a stock 3.2 fuel line. There are several options.

1) Order new parts from Porsche
2) Order aftermarket parts from some place like griffiths.
3) Talk to some guy named len and see if he can make you a new set if you send in your old set
4) Find a competent local hydraulic hose shop that can cut off the old hoses and crimp on new ones.
5) Make up your own set using AN fittings and what not.

I re-did my own fuel line.
I used high pressure fuel injection hose and fuel injection hose clamps.
You can use wire dikes to peel away the crimped collars.
It works great. Now I replace the fuel hoses every 100k miles and it only cost a few buck.

Speaking from experience and replacing all my fuel lines recently (on a 3.6), I recommend going OEM for that spider system of fuel lines. I used a local hose shop (very good, BTW) to fab a couple new single lines for me. Although the quality was great, the fit wasn't OEM and it was a little too tight for my taste.

With the complication of the lines you want replaced, I think you are better off buying from Porsche so you know they will 1) fit and 2) work as expected. There are a lot of attachment points with that part that you don't want to get wrong and end up with expensive fuel lines that don't fit.

Good day Trackrat -

I am happy to help. Here is a Re-Hose of a customer's original Main Tee AND Crossover I just completed and shipped a few days ago.....

The J-Hose is new, I cannot Re-Hose that.

For more info, please email me. I do NOT respond to pms. Cannot send photos or track messages so its a waste of time for me.

I am retired and do this as a thank-you to the Porsche community for 45+ yrs of pleasure repairing, restoring, driving and owning these wonderful vehicles.

Len at Autosportenginering dot com

PS - Thank you Len T.

I'll chime in as one of many of Len's satisfied customers. He made new soft lines for my SC's Megasquirt setup a few months ago.

My point has been, the lines from porsche have been on the shelf for nearly 30 years, nearly $500
For antique fuel lines...

Tunnel fuel line design blindness and tunnel vision for OEM fuel lines and components go together.
Reliability engineering in aircraft is mostly based on component age, environment and usage cycles
So much modern stuff to upgrade with from end to end.
Do you sometime admire the results of plastic surgery ???

I have custom Metric fittings for Alum or SS tube through the Tunnel if anyone wants to go that way.

A few well known Pelican members have done this with very satisfactory results.

Please, NO pm's. Inquire at: Len at Autosportengineering dot com

+1

Len is the go-to guy for fuel lines, he made everything I needed about a month or so back. Recommended.

When you're replacing/rebuilding these fuel hoses, be sure to take a look at the return line in the engine bay/chassis that has a rubber flex section on it. That one has the same potential as the rest of them for leaking at the crimp joints.

I just found mine ready to leak 3 weeks ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5AEbQy4HOQ

I believe fahck is German for "darn it?"

^^^

Yup, I replaced that one as well. Unscrewed it from where it comes out of the tunnel and gave it to the hose shop. They made my up a new one including the hard line portion which was starting to rust.

That being said I am not quite sure how you would replace that one without dropping the engine/tranny. I suppose you could cut the old one out and replace it with a flex line.....doesn't sound like fun though.
