Black metallic on black interior.......
This is what my SC is now. In the process of a repaint and interior remake, I also spent some bucks on the a/c. I have basically replaced/upgraded all components, added the extra Khuel vents and the pro cooler. Using R134a, my system will keep the interior very comfortable even on a 90 degree plus day here in sunny south Georgia. So, if you want black, plan ahead and provison for it. Otherwise, you will have a car that is not much fun certain times of the year!

Mine's not Tan, it's Champagne, but I have a sneaking suspicion that that is what the OP is talking about.
FWIW, I really like it. It's exactly the color combo I wanted. Also, FWIW, others have told me how nice my car looks, and how much they like the interior.

I think you may be referring to the interior color called "Cork." Lots of guys love this color. I do not. Looks orange-ish. The darker browns are much better. IMHO.

Well, yes and no. My interior is Cadbury - think very dark chocolate. It looks fine, but try finding matching leather to repair the seats.

So you don't like tan....your delivery makes that pretty obvious.
Quite an auspicious start for having only 2 posts. Welcome to the site.

Funny, black makes me wanna hurl, for many reasons. For one every spec of dirt shows.. you cannot have a clean black car.
Tan, cork, etc is classy.. black, well is not.

I think the OP should now realize the "unbridled enthusiasm" for their ride that the normal Pelican displays......dis my 911 and SHI* happens.

I think I'll take my 25 year old car exactly how it came from the factory. Black with tan interior and white gold metallic Fuchs. Wasn't going to pass up an M491 with 30,000 miles because it had tan seats.

A tan interior is far better than having to continue to dream of owning a certain car.
You wont be looking at the seats when you are hitting the curves. rich |

Cover your eyes because this interior is cork (orange tan). I love it.

Guards red just looks cool. If brand new, you look like a tool, but in a 25 y/o 911 it just screams *****en.

I actually like cork, but don't like tan. I always wanted a black 911 with Can-Can red interior. There was also another color I forget the name of but it was like a dark, almost red, cork. Never did like it. Black is easiest to fix and get parts for.

I am still not crazy about the "shaggy" carpet, but I have grown to love my cork interior. I like the black dash insert. I think striking the right balance between the cork and black really makes it pop.

I not big on tan interiors either, however with a white 911 it looks very good. My preference is black. I had a black 76 Turbo with cork interior and black carpet. It was very striking. I think that the black carpet helped.
My 930 project car is black with a black and white interior. New leather dash with white dual french seams - very stark and very clean look. The side panels are white, with black leather top caps on both the doors and rear window. The rear deck is black and white, black at the top (to match the dash and caps) and white where it aligns with the side panels. Haven't decided on the seats yet. |
