That's a nice looking interior!

I've got the cork/black thing going as well on the ratty '75. It had the original cork carpet in very poor condition, so I replaced with a used carpet set from Pelican classifieds that was in nearly new shape, in black. Door panels are cork, seats (also a classified find) are black. I'm traveling, so don't have pics to share, but I'm going to stick with the two-tone look. It will be killer when I repaint the car in a nice 70's olive green.

When I began to look for my 911, I figured I would take any other color than Guards Red. So what did I nd up with? Guards Red. As my buddy and I were discussing over beers the other night, when you buy a used car, you do not get to choose the colour. You must buy on condition, as it is not like going to the dealership and taking your pick.

I may be poor. But I have a 911 in the garage.

Thanks for the cork/black compliment. I would like to see your cork interior with black seats and carpet

Same exact thing happened to me, but I also ended up with a targa - 17 years now...

So is mine. I wanted a coupe, but ended up with a Targa.

Great minds think alike.

Oops, my daily drive (325ti) has a tan interior and my 911 is a Guard's Red Targa with black interior. The fashion police is gonna get me!

I have a recently restored Guards' Red SC. The original interior was Cork, which
is a fine classic color for Porsches. However with urgings from friends & family I
changed out the interior to black on the top part-dash, door sills, armrests, & parcel
shelf. The rest of the interior is "Stone Gray," which is a later year Porsche color.
I've had a lot of positive comments, including those in the local Porsche community.

So what, who cares? All of a sudden we've got an interior color scheme thread going, with nice photos!

And I'll be sharing what I've done via PM pics (which I'll also post here when I wrap up some travel) with Racer_X, so that dialog/information exchange has started as well.

I can live with all of that. Keep posting your pics, folks!

If you like black, get black. If you like tan, get tan. It's your business what you like, but don't deride what others prefer. I would love an orange interior, if I could get it.
that's it

(I hate tan interiors)

I gotta agree with ivangene, if a tan interior is going to make you hurl, well, go hurl and get it over with. From my perspective, once I get behind the wheel, push down the accelerator, and watch the road uncurl in front of me, I could not care less what color my interior is (blue) or anyone else's.
