Help, engine plug
My 1979n 911 started making a noise like the valves needed adjustment, but it is an exhaust leak. There are 6 plugs in the engine that are at the exhaust level of the engine . One fell out I could not fine any reference to them in the repair manual or any parts vendor. What are they and where can I get one?

Those are plugs used to plug the air-injection ports when that system is removed (one of the "smog" systems used on these cars) . . .
Pelican sells this style of plug for that use: Pelican Parts - Product Information: PEL-BRC-02 Other businesses, such as TurboKraft sell them as well . . . http://turbokraft.com/catalog/index.php Last edited by Ronnie's.930; 06-09-2011 at 05:41 PM.. |
