After doing the Corner balancing Weight in; http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/728449-what-did-you-do-your-911-today-2.html#post8773303, next logical step was to check the alignment with Smart String and the Dream Stick. Smart Camber is on its way

Not bad number but it will have to wait until I do the suspension over the winter.: https://robrobinette.com/DIYAlignmentCalculator.htm

Angle between chassis centerline and strings = 0.01 (which is irrelevant as the calculation account for this).

Track difference (positive if rear is wider than front) = 4.05 (wide body)

Total front toe: 0.10

Total rear toe: -0.06

Thrust angle of rear wheels = 0.04

My baby turns the big 3-0 this month, so to celebrate I loaded her up with camping equipment (including firewood) and on Saturday morning, drove 180 miles to Lime Rock in CT for the Historics. The 911 performed flawlessly and it was a great drive. On the way back I beat the nav's ETA by 25 minutes. Here's a few pics from Lime Rock.

Found one similar at a shop last year too.

I worked on a rotisserie for the 68 restoration.

Made the final decision to put it into hibernation for at least a year.

Engine needs a rebuild and with new house and 2 kids under 2...the 911 is the last thing I need vacuuming the pennies out of my accounts.

Sleepy time...

You can't buy happiness, but you can buy car parts which is kind of the same thing.

What did you do to your 911 today?

Received my new leather seat covers from Autoberry then dropped them off with the seats for install with biscuit warmers.(yesterday since it's Saturday). Ordered the box of misc small schtuff needed for the suspension refresh.

Hope to start the reassembly this next week, if my outsourced parts start arriving.

Check her Camber with my latest toy (got delivered yesterday). I'm not going to adjust it since I'm doing a full suspension up-date in a couple of months.

FL: -1.5 ===== FR: -0.7

RL: -1.3 ===== RR:-0.4

Easy to calibrate and use.

Finally got a storage/garage facility so I decided to get my car in SoCal after 2 agonizing months of not seeing nor driving it. Good thing it started as if it just yesterday but AC needs recharging though so off I went to get 3 cans and charged it. Tomorrow, I start my journey back to SF. With my AAA and credit card on hand, hope I will have a trouble free and safe drive. I will just give a shoutout incase I encounter any trouble along I-5 en route to 280. Wish me luck.

finally replaced the hood struts - no more worrying about knocking the 2x4 out of the way and turning the bonnet into a guillotine.

waiting for my window regulator pivot pin to arrive and will tackle that next.

baby steps !
