Check this out; Orange T - Page 28 - Rennlist Discussion Forums Also more pictures of the finished car. The embossing turned out a bit random but I have kind of gotten used to that now and it contrubutes to the uniqueness of the car.

That is German square weave, Oatmeal. I'm in NZ and a local vendor supplies it. Most likely the same as you can get up there.

I spoke to Greg today and explained the interest in one-piece knee pads. He will be delighted to make some more after he has finished mine, but they are moving premises at the beginning of March so will have more room. If you guys can wait until then, they are hoping to have a complete refurb service with restoring dashes, bespoke rear seat deletes and one-piece knee pads, as who needs an ashtray anyway? Had the seats covered back in 1988 for a case of beer and a ride afterwards. It was Leesville, LA after all ...

Just a quick unscientific survey here: What do people generally prefer - complete original door pulls, handles and pockets, or minimalist door cards with a simple pull and not pocket...?
I'm currently having the dilemma but I love the pics of the above brown interior and how much more spacious it seems. |

Here's a few more. Still a bit to do like paint the orange bulkhead black. Should have done that earlier.

SpyderMike,
I like what you have done there. I have aspirations of getting a more modern Porsche than my 1973.5 and doing a "sympathetic" backdate of sorts...with the emphasis on a more business-like interior (I have found that owning an original car has limited what I allow myself to do with respect to customization). I feel the materials, patterns, etc. of the earlier cars really speak to me and thus feel your choice of Nardi wheel, basket weave dash and square weave carpet are spot on.

Thanks. I am in the process of an all steel backdate of my 85 Targa. I wanted the simple clean interior and exterior.
I am thinking basket weave seats with grommets right now. The electric sport seats need to go. |

What? There is no one with a 'Pasha' (Pascha) interior? I think I would go that route if I were going to re do my cabin..
