And for the record, your tail/brake and signal light boards are fantastic. They really do stand out and make the car more visible in all light conditions. Highly recommended.

Excellent! The 3 sets are spoken for. I'll let you know contact info later when I get parts and do the builds.

Spoke,
I bought and am pleased with your brake light and 3rd brake light mod. If this is for a set of fog lights for 84-89 cars I'm in.....need a few other peices too but put me in line for a set of these. Scott

Yes they will. Like putting a white lamp behind an amber lens.

Finally got the shape of the brake board done for the fiberglass light fixture. Took 3 iterations of the board to get the curves just right. Here's the new brake board shape with an existing brake board for the standard OEM 911 light fixture.
Notice anything wrong with the bulb socket for the brake light?

Bingo!
However when I read about the fixture on their website, they do say these are for racing and not for road use. The socket is glued in and should be easily removed and a dual filament socket glued in place.

The lower current draw is icing on the cake. Win / win. Not seeing my voltmeter fluctuate in time with the turnsignals is oddly satisfying. The rear sidemarkers are SO bright that I mistake the light on the road as another car in my blind spot. 😳 When I realize that it's me / my lil' ol' 911 putting out that kinda light, it makes me laugh out loud. The rear sidemarker LED, and its wire, are visible through the lens. Spoke, is there a diffuser piece available for the rear sidemarkers (like the diffusers you provide for the front sidemarkers)? Not a lighting pic, but this shot really drives home how tiny these cars are in today's supersized world... https://www.instagram.com/p/BgzmVFyntWH/?igshid=1gv8gkhf4gz9y

Interesting. No problem opening up this foglight. It was a real bummer to not be able to open up the other foglight. I believe that one was bonded together.
Does this foglight have a gasket between the lens and the reflector? So this is the 3rd different foglight design for the '69-'89 911 cars for which my LED brakes fit. If you send me the foglight enclosures, I'll try to design a LED board to fit.

Hi Spoke,
I am thrilled with your brake and 3rd brake light kits, easy install, changes the whole character of the azz end at night. I just purchased clear front marker and turn signal lenses for my '84 911. I'm assuming a pair of amber/white for the turn signals and you offer only white for the markers? Lastly, am I to understand that you haven't had any luck with creating LED's for the 84-89 fog lamps? Thanks, Scott

So I'm sending out 3 sets to some 911 owners for them to evaluate. The LED Fogs work well as DRL and I don't think they're too obnoxious at night. I want to get more opinions before doing general availability. The LED fogs burn about 9W per light and put out 2x the light intensity as the 35W bulbs. Plus the LEDs being used are 5700K color and very compatible with LED headlights.

Getting ready to send out a couple of sets of LED foglights for evaluation. The sets will consist of 2 LED boards with 8 Cree XP-G high-power LEDs running 350mA (9W), plastic clips to mount the boards and #2 screws to secure the boards in the lens.
The installation should be easy and basically plug-n-play. The only tricky part is popping the original bulb shade from the reflector. Once that is done, the LED boards should be easily installed. To remove the bulb shade, remove the metal clip which holds the bulb in the reflector. Then support the reflector with a couple pieces of wood and with a screwdriver, gently tap out the shade by tapping opposite of each of the 3 securing tabs.

Here's what is in the LED foglight package. 2 boards, 8 clips and 10 screws.

The clips that I have right now will angle the board by 5 degrees downward to help mitigate the light distribution upward.
I categorize the clips in 3 sizes: tiny, small, and big. The tiny clip goes in the one corner of the lens which is very short. This is the lower outside of the lens. The tiny clip should fall right in to the corner of the lens as shown below. ![]() Once the tiny clip is installed, the small clip will go on the other side. ![]() Examining the big clips it will be noticed that one clip has a lower board perch than the other. This big clip with the lower perch will be put on the same side as the small clip. ![]() Once all 4 clips are in place, the board can be placed on the clips. If the board rocks top to bottom, then the big clips are on the wrong side. The board will only sit on the clips if the side with the dc-dc converter is on the deep side. ![]()
