Install the screws such that each screw is started but not seated. Go around each screw until they seat. Remember they're #2 screws going into plastic and not head studs. Once some resistance is encountered and they look seated, stop.

Then fish the wires through the hole in the reflector and reinstall.

I've tried to create some shades to cut off the upper range but they did not work and only cut the total intensity.

So I'm sending out 3 sets to some 911 owners for them to evaluate. The LED Fogs work well as DRL and I don't think they're too obnoxious at night. I want to get more opinions before doing general availability. The LED fogs burn about 9W per light and put out 2x the light intensity as the 35W bulbs. Plus the LEDs being used are 5700K color and very compatible with LED headlights.

When you refer to them not being too obnoxious at night, you mean for the drivers, right? Because people aren't running their fog lights with headlights and other traffic on the road...

I don't think having a sharp cut off like headlights for the fogs is completely necessary as they're not used with other oncoming traffic present. Perhaps that tight control of the light direction might reduce their effectiveness. Ok, reduce might not be the right word as they're not all that great to begin with...

Regardless, your five degrees down angle should mitigate the amount of light that seems to be directed further upward.

Clear Marker/Blinker Lenses source

Hey Spoke,

Thanks for the update on the fogs, I'll belly up to the bar and buy some when you perfect those.

In answer to your source question for clear front Marker/Blinker. Our host isn't carrying.

Rennspeed Motorsports (www.Rennspd.Com) originally told me they were out. They found a set of Markers on the shelf for $45 delivered. And they're GREAT quality.

Sierra Madre is back-ordered on markers (December) but has the Clear Blinker lenses ON SALE for $16.41 each!

If these sources get blocked by our host, PM me and I'll hook you guys up

I'm off to order LED's for these clears and a pair of reverse for the 911....

Scott

Just to follow up on the fogs, I've been using mine as DRLs since I got them and they're still going strong. If anyone has specific questions on installation that I can help with, please ask but obviously Spoke knows more than I do.

Spokeworks LED Fog Light Review

I have lights from Spokeworks all the way around the car and couldn't be happier with them, with these fogs Jerry has outdone himself. Install was a non-issue following the instructions posted here. In the case that someone did run into problems Jerry is a great guy to communicate with and stands behind his products 100%. I plan on using these as DRL's for added visibility or to add some great low surround lights when up in the mountains at night. Excuse the crappy night pics but you'll get the idea of just how bright these are. Drove around with them on for a bit and didn't have anyone flashing their beams at me so I would say the low angle is spot on. Highly recommended

This is fog lights only, no running or headlights

Yellow lenses, I presume, and not the actual LEDs?

@Canada Kev

Correct, this is with the yellow lenses on. The lights themselves are white

Finally got around to doing the RS rear turn signal/brake light LED upgrade from Spokeswerks.

All in, install took about 12 minutes start to finish with no issues. Jerry has been excellent to deal with thus far. I think I'm going the distance and ordering all the other LED products he offers for my car.

Note: I had LEDs on the car already. Every exterior bulb was already swapped to another brand LED bulb but they have been breaking and are unreliable. Spokewerks products are the business and are built better than any relationship I've been in to date so I'm not worried about their lifespan. They will outlive me.

Photos of the car they went on:

Quick install pics:

I'll take better shots tonight with a good camera to emphasize how easy these were to install and how well they light up all the cars behind me.

Fogs

Here is a photo of my recently installed LED fog lights. They are a very close match to the LED headlights I got from Audette.

I've added the 911 foglights to the website with introductory price of $125/pair. The final price will be $150/pair.

Red, as per suggestion of Jerry.

According to DOT regulation, you can't actually have yellow lights on the rear of your car that light up outside of turn signal or hazard light application. The only way to get the turn signals to light up as "DRLs" in their dim setting was to have the bulbs be red.

Does this make sense? I'm bad at explaining things.

The hardware for the foglights now includes a jig to assist with the removal of the bulb holder and shade.

The jig fits around the bulb holder provides a stable platform to tap out the bulb holder.

There are 3 nubs holding the bulb socket onto the reflector.

Using a punch or screwdriver, tap on the nubs going around the circle until the socket pops out.

Socket popped out.

Socket is removed.

I received my package with your fog lights this afternoon and immediately started dismantling my headlights. I was wondering what the big round “jig” was in the bag of parts.

I just finished installing the first fog light and will try the jig tomorrow when I attempt the second one.

I just posted instructions on my website. I knew you were going to get the lights today and tried earlier to get the instructions online.

Spoke, since this thread is 47 pages long, I might have missed it but have you considered making a taillaight housing designed around your LEDs? It could be much simpler than the original housing so it would be easier to make and lighter.
