Glad I could help you. I doubt an evening's worth of use in this cooler weather would hurt them. I personally like the idea of not needing a fan, I guess time will tell.
They rate them at 30,000 hrs use.
I am extremely happy with mine, I find the white color helps my getting older eyes see things a lot better at night. I also notice that in the daytime, I tend to see other cars running w/ headlights on that the white sticks out more and I personally see them just a bit sooner.
Anyway... Maybe others think different. That's fine.

After hours of reading about LEDs on various forums over the last couple of years I decided to go with these. H4 Philips LED Headlight Review | H4 LED kit Review | 12953BWX2

So far I am very impressed. Almost no electrical draw (especially compared to the Sylvania Silverstar bulbs they replaced). I have the flat Hella Euro H4 housings in the car and theses plugged right in with plenty of room for all the bit and bobs. The cutoff patterns are as sharp as the halogens which was my biggest concern with LEDs. Philips really did their research on these as a true plug and play upgrade.

These are the ones I got, but it looks like they have another one now also. I know the owner. These guys are legit. Check out their website and Facebook page.

3800 Lumen H4 LED Headlight bulb

They might give you discount if you mention Mitch, Rhianna's dad with the Porsche recommended them. Or they might charge you more!!

I have the same ones and I'm also very happy with them. Very good product and very good company.

Many assume bulb and reflector are the primary factors in maximizing light output. Not discussed thus far is the H4 glass lens that one would assume is designed/maximized for the light produced from an H4 bulb and reflector.

While the LED bulbs might produce more lumens, does this actually translate into a light pattern that is deeper than H4 bulbs? I haven't seen that test thus far, only anecdotal opinions.

Here's my anecdotal story. Some years ago, I replaced my H4 Cibie Z Beam units (NLA?) with Bosch H4 light assemblies due to growing rust in the reflectors. I noticed a difference in light output. The Z Beams were brighter and the cutoff delineation more distinct, even with partially corroded reflectors. What was the difference? Bulb, reflector or lens?

Thumbs up

Okay Fellas,

I pulled the trigger on H4's and Sirius LEDs to go with them. I was pretty disappointed with the standard blubs, I hoped the Osram Night Breakers Unlimited would do the trick but only the brights were worth a darn. I could not see at night for the life of me. The funny thing was my camera on the phone could see the casted light but my old eyes were night blind.

Before, the loverly incandescent yellow/natural:

I've been wanting H4s for a long time since my H1s were in a sorry state. P-side was very bad with corrosion, had to resort to HIDs to see. Oh well.

Confirmed Sirius Instructions are Poop, Thank Goodness for Brother Craigerz for his guidance.

This is how it comes out of the box and they give you an allen key. Set up for our RHD cousins

Loosen two set screws to rotate the bulb 1.75 notches clockwise

To get the proper light Cast ___/___/

Yes, light is clean and WHITE, not blue

I opted to use the supplied double sided tape and mount the transformer in the bowl.

I have to say these are equal to or better than the HIDs, bonus no freakin whining noise from the transformers, no warm up, they are instant on off and the brights too

Build Quality is by far superior than the POS china made ones from FleaBay. Well worth the $109 shipped to door next business day via SF Cali.

Am running H4s with 80/110 bulbs with relays in both my cars and am happy with light output even on wet roads. Sure beats the crap out of 55/60s. Good cutoff on lows and not obnoxious to oncoming. Not sexy or bleeding edge. Add driving lights and turn night into day. From what I have researched, incandescent bulbs natural yellow light provide better illumination than similar output with white or blue units. Don't feel like I am settling using 80/110s.

My A6 has Xeons which really throw out the light but the cut off line is so low as to not blind oncoming that I find them frustrating. Highs are great tho. Always a trade off.

Light Cast:

Industrial Park

I decided to lower it 2 inches lower than standard aim just in case I may blinding some one on coming.

The diagonal cast is brighter than I expected, it sure lights up all the street signs

I really like the little voltage drop vs my old HIDs on my H1s, maybe 0.2 volts vs 0.75-1.00 volts as seen on my on board volt meter. Headlight lenses are cool to the touch too.

Just posting some info in case any future reader comes across this.

After installing the 7G LED bulbs from Sirius, with the headlight switch in position 1 (parking lights only) the high beam portion of the LED bulbs would turn on, but not at full power. I measured the voltage at the high beam socket and the ground and got about 6v. With the headlight switch in position 2 (headlights on) i was getting full high beam. Flicking the high beam stalk, i could hear the high beam relay click but no change in the bulb operation.

This left me scratching my head for a few hours. I was thinking bad LED controllers (unlikely as both would have been bad), or possibly something strange with how the headlight relays on my aftermarket fuse panel are setup.

So the issue was this, the fuses for the high beams have your incomer from the headlight switch and on the outlet side the wires going to your bulbs. Also on the outlet side, is a wire that goes to the high beam indicator, and another wire that cuts the foglights out with the high beam on. This wire is not on the wire diagram in the Bentley manual, so it wasnt until i actually looked at the wiring did i realize what was happening .

So the fix for this is to ground that wire for the fog lights somewhere on the chassis... this will result in your fogs staying on even if you activate the high beam. I dont have the full wiring diagram but i am guessing the fog relay is grounded through the high beam wiring circuit. When you hit the high beam, 12v goes through the entire circuit cutting the fog light relay out.

Anyhow here are some pictures;

The 2nd 7.5amp fuse from the relay you have a blue wire, white with blue and a white with brown. The white with brown is now connected to the twist connector and is grounded to the chassis lug next to the fuse panel. See next picture.

The driver tucks nicely into the headlight bucket.

You have to flip the heatsink around and position it as shown... others mentioned this in previous posts. It fits just barely in the headlight bucket.

Nice and bright light... much whiter than the halogens.

bumping an old thread for fresh info.

a lot of the links to products are no longer available. I am curious if anyone has used any of the newer products around. I ordered a set of what was supposed to be the latest and greatest from Phillips from the UK but the wire is running out of the back on them and they don't fit (depth wise) into my Bosch H4 headlights..

I'm still running an older set from these guys and I'd have no problem buying from them again.

In fact these ones look like an improvement. I might consider upgrading.

I ended up trying to flip the heat sinks on the Phillips ones I got, but it didn't work.

I got a set of these from Amazon at 1/3 the price and they fit no problem and work great.
