Our main weapon is fear and surprise, no our two main
weapons are fear and suprise, and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pelican..Pope! I said Pope! |

Since we are on the topic of GT headlights, what would you pay for a kit?
Im polishing out mine. It does not require cutting the body and just bolts on. So it would be 2 gas springs (I have 20lbs springs but I may go higher to prevent the lights from bouncing on the road) brackets to hold the springs. release cable and T-handle for dash mounting. 1. Would you rather loose the hood lock and go with hood pins or keep it? 2. T-handle or burled knob? 3. Dash or other mount? 4. $200-$250 range? (gas springs arent cheap ya know) -Rich Hilgersom |

Hey Hargray!
Hey, I've got an idea,
Why not delete some of the old stuff. There are way to many threads that either repeat covered topics, or is just useless OT chit chat that makes no sense. Some threads are just a link to another thread. You get a lot of junk to sift through when you perform a search. Whatta ya think? Ahh, no one will respond to this anyway.... |

If you think about it, in a way, this thread has almost become a board of it's own and a lot of useless stuff is being put here instead of creating one useless subject line after another. I'm not sure whether anyone has completely understood my point, and by know, it really doesn't matter to me anymore--but I still think there could be a better format. It could at least be split into two 914 sections. "914 TECH" and "914 TALK". It's kinda like gas and motor oil--both are great--but I don't put both in the same tank because life is better when the two are kept separate. IMHO of course. |

I think you wasted a little time typing 'crappy'. The word 'crappy' is automatically understood when one mentions Seinfeld episode. |

No, this thread has been a blast, but I gotta agree with you from a practicle sense, Man. I hope this thread gets deleted eventually because it will show up in every search forever....
But there really isn't a way to do it. I guess all this bs belongs in the chat area, but I never use that, because you don't know who (if anyone) is in there, and what a specific topic of discussion is, like is shown in a tech thread. Sure things get WAY off-topic, but the totally useless ones useually have a goffy topic so they don't show up. I won't be searching "Happy birthday" or "Breasts" when I'm doing a clutch job. Maybe there is some way to motivate our goof off discussions to the chat zone..... |
