924 turbo engine
Would anyone be interested in possibly purchasing a 924 turbo engine? I will be aquiring a 924 turbo for parts only because they have not been able to get the car running correctly.. they don't know what the cause is.. it could be something stupid. I don't want to deal with the car cause i already have a 944 that i'm fixing up. Please let me know if anyone is interested and also let me know what you think is a fair price for the engine/turbo/exhaust.. whatever you need really.

What year and would you be interested in some trading. I have an 86na I'm parting out.

I honestly don't know how much as of right now.. that is one of the reasons that i posted this to get a general idea of what things for a 924 turbo can go for

Razor944, hows the transmission? Or doesn't it run well enough to test?

ok.. this is the deal.. the car was taken into the shop to get a few things with then engine taken car of. the did a valve job, replaced the gas tank, lots of new stuff on the car that i'm going to strip.. They got the car running but the problem was it was not running correctly. I dont' know the full details of the situation but i'm sure if the engine was pulled out it can easily be diagnosed. That is not what i'm going to do though, i will just sell it as is. I would imagine that the transaxle is in good shape. That is one thing i will soon find out when i get it monday. The car has been sitting for the past 4 years so there are most likely few miles on the car. I will also get all the papers for the work done to the car and take notes of what was wrong when they tried to get it running.

Find out what was done on the head. My 931 is an 82 so the suspension and other bits will most likely not fit. I would be interested in the turbo. My parts car is an 86na.

Are you just planning on parting out the engine, or some of the body parts as well? I wouldn't mind the turbo hood and vented nose piece, if your selling.

86 944na
I could likely use the turbo, exhaust manifold and head.

Aside from the string that passes for my arm, not much. I could use some spares for my 931. The difference being that the early 931s had a 3 bolt exhaust manifold and the 82 has a four bolt. You can switch heads, but if you switch turbos, you have to either swap hot sides or exhaust manifolds to make it bolt up. The four bolt is much preferred over the three because of cracking problems in the early type. Also, the 82 has a 5 bolt suspension that is the direct predecessor to the 83 944na. The earlier ones have a beefed up version of the 924.

YEP!!! that's the correct answer!! I didn't realize that your 931 was a turbo. I knew that you can switch the heads and since you wanted the head and turbo unit, I put 2and 2 together and got 5.. wha?.. anyway.. I figgered it out after I re-read your post and looked at you tag line.. you go girl!! 2 snaps in a circle @@

Just wanted the head for a spare. I'm planning on having it cc'ed, five angle valve job, port matched and flowed. Hence, I would like to do this to the spare while I'm driving the beast. The 86na I have is just taking up room in my garage and will soon go to the junque yard, albeit sans mucho parts.
The 951 is my daily driver, the 931 will likely wind up being a track car. There is a perverted logic here. I do my own work, so labor rates aren't an issue. Not many guys will enter in my class, hence I'm likely to finish well. The 911 guys will look at me and think "it's a pos 924, nothing to worry about" Wanna bet!? Those guys will be dodging me like an uninsured mexican in a rusty buick as I blow their doors off. The 931 is highly underrated and in proper tune and weight is squarely between the 944na and a stock 951. But if you don't spin your own wrenches, stay very far away from one.
