A/C question
When the system fails to engage due to low refrigerant, should the high speed fans still come on when the A/C button is depressed even though the compressor is safety switch disabled? 1986 Porsche 951.

Yes the fans should engage and stay on continuously, they are electrically actuated by the snowflake switch and not the compressor circuit.

Thanks. Looks like my recent refrigerant service has mysteriously leaked out again. Back to the shop to see if there's a dye trail.
