The seats are pretty decent! They are definitely not "racing" seats like they're dubbed but for cruising around town and maybe even a little auto-x I think they're a great deal. The material feels a little soft though, so we'll see how it holds up over time as far as rips, tears or ware spots.

...but I guess to answer your question they feel pretty solid! No problems under acceleration or quick braking.

@&*%!.......I paid $400 for an upholstery shop to redo my son's seats. He did a great job but I would rather pay $300 for your seats vs having re-upholstered seats.

Just for grins, can you post a link or a description of those seats on ebay?

Thanks a lot guys! Yeah, I got a lot of friends and relatives who said I was crazy when I started the tear down, but it's a good thing I'm very determined! I started to prime and paint the body this weekend. I figure a few more long days of work and the paint will be finished, I'm getting really excited! I'll try and find a link for those seats to post as well.

Can someone tell me where that shift knob came from because the leather on my factory knob is disappearing rapidly and I'd like to replace it but something cooler would be nice

I got the shift knob from a guy on ebay. His user ID is "synage.com" and he sells all kinds of custom stuff.

What are you going to do with the gaps inbetween the bumper and the signal lenses?
I have the same problem and Im not shure what to do.

Nice car by the way!!!

Wow, very nice job. I was planning on doing this to my car in the next year or two, and this is giving me the itch to get it started sooner. Did you shave the bumper pads off just now before repainting? IMO that makes the NA bumpers look 1000x better. The custom pedals you made are awesome, definitely some Chip Foose quality work there. Did you buy an interior carpet kit, or did it just clean up that well?

Thanks, yep I did the bumper shave before repainting. As for the carpet I got all new and installed it, my old stuff was pretty trashed!

That looks fantastic! Did you drill out the bumper shocks and push the bumper back, or just shave those pads? It's hard to tell on the all black car.

Nope, I didn't do a complete snub nose, just shaved the bumper pads. I left the shocks undrilled.
