Red face Rear Whl bearings done but new Problem

Thanks for the help on the wheel bearing replacement...

After replaceing the wheel bearing I was able to detect a noise and some play in the Tx where the CV shaft mounts. I think I have found the parts diagrams, but I am not sure how to procede with the repair.

Are there bearings that are replaceable without removing the Tx?
Should I do this myself (reasonably good and thorough)?
Any special tools required

1983 944 5spd

Thanks in advance

Do not replace any of the bearings in your transaxle.

This is not a job for the faint of heart. You have to measure, shim, remeasure and reshim the differential or you will destroy your transaxle.

Have a competent transmission specialist do it for you.
