Engine Heating

I am once again Asking for the help of the many Porsche Gurus,

Just had a condenser and two new fans put in my 87 924S
Now the car Heats into the Red, never overheats totally.
Also, the car vibrates to the point my keys jingle and the shift knob spins 360degrees around. when the car is in neutral at a red light.

But when in neutral when i step on the gas even a slight bit, so the oil pressure moves up, the car temp slowly moves down.

Any ideas? is there a correlation between the temp and oil pump?

Thanks

Sounds like a thermostat problem. Plus sounds like your fans aren't turning on. Check the fuses/relays for them.

does it drop to 0 from around 4.5 bar? Or is it always at 0?

Either way, no it's not. Even with a bad sender it will peg to 5, not 0.

on the highway it reaches 3.5 - 4 bar,
in the manual it says at idle the gauge needle may drop to 0.5, however mine drops to "0"

dw215,

Temp issue: Flush cooling system carefully and make sure to flush/backflush radiator. I use a cooler thermostat and fan switch for hot temps in AZ.
The car runs with temperature needle in center.
You could also try a product called Redline to keep temps down-read bottle first.

Oil pressure: What weight oil do you use? Do you use synthetic?

Vibration: Engine mounts. You have text book "vibrates at red light at idle"

You may need to check if the catalytic converter is restricted/rattling.
