Check the fuse box, check the latch in the back of the car to see if the cable came off of the latch. Does the latch move at all when you use the switch?
I will check my inventory, but I believe I have a new switch if that is the problem. Let me know.

Forgot to ask this earlier....does your sunroof work? In other words, can you use the switch on the console to open and close your sunroof?
Just trying to eliminate some electrical gremlins along the way.

rear hatchling
Is this an electrical problem? or a linkage problem? If you crawl back on the deck you can slide the levers inboard and release the latches. you can also manipulate the linkage that comes from the actuator. If the key isn't working it might be a bunch of things. Worst case scenario you need to take the latches down with a ten mm wrench. 2 nuts each side....pull lever, release and pull down.
Cleaning and adjusting usually does the trick. Open the hatch if you can and let us know what the story is.

Hit the button and listen for the motor to cycle. I will send you a release switch if power is not running to motor - Just let me know.

define nothing.....
if it opens with the key....leaning towards electrical. pull the actuator lever and see if that releases the latch. check for voltage at the actuator mechanism with a test light or a voltometer when you hi the swithch. Fuse? connection? Ground?

If your sunroof works, then it is not the fuse.
It probably is the switch or it could be a relay problem....most likely switch though from what you describe here. Just my .02 cents.

Try removing the switch and opening it-carefully so that the unsecured contacts and springs do not move from where they are correctly positioned-and clean the contacts.
