Fuchs sizes
I am looking into buying some Fuchs rims and I am finding alot of 16x6 and 16x7 but would like to know if the 6's up front is to narrow? Would it be better to just have 7's up front and 8's in the back? I have an 86 944 n/a
Thanks |

I had 15x6's on the front, and they looked fine. Most 944 fuchs were that size.

I have the stock 15" fuchs (15x6f, 15x7r). The only way I would go to 16" fuchs would be for 16x7 fronts and 16x8 rear. Just going to 16" wheel is not going to put more rubber on the road, they have to be fatter too. Stock size rubber is 215/60/15 on the factory 15s, the fatter 16's will allow 225/50/16f and 245/45/16r without requiring any speedo or fender mod's. The only negative is... finding a pair of 16x8s in good shape and not costing an arm and a leg.
