Where would one send off injectors for cleaning and how much would that roughly cost for a US version 16V "S"?

Complete Cleaning & Flow Testing of most gasoline injectors for only $21 per injector.
Includes before and after test data.
So, a little over $160 plus shipping. Well worth it too. See my $900 Porsche thread to see the before and after. They do a lot of work on them for $21.

Yes!!!!
Got the fuel tank cleaned and reinstalled.
Not that bad.
doing fuel lines now.
I'm having trouble getting the fuel rails off.
I've got the ign. wires out of the way, the 2 bolts out that hold it down.
Can't get the injectors to come out.
Is there a trick, or is it just that tight?

O.k. been busy.
Did the fuel tank and fuel lines.
Cut the air pump belt.(won't need it)
Going to do a WP/TB.
Coolant looks goo, no oil.
Belt looks really good.
Replacing anyway.
But look at the water pump, looks brand new.
only got 1,000 miles on it.
Is there any way to check it?
Looks OEM. part# 928 106 122
Sure is a lot of oil on this engine. Valve covers????
See anything you think may need attention, let me know.
Keeping busy on it,.
D*** there's a lot of oil!!!!!

When you do the timing belt, you want the crank at 45 degrees. This allows the cams to turn without interference. You will also want the flywheel locking tool to keep it there. The one distributor rotor is showing wear. I would replace both and the distributor caps.

Send a message via Yahoo to Mrmerlin
you also have an aluminum oil pump gear it could be swapped out for the new steel version if you do swap then remove the 1mm spacer behind the gear.
also consider replacing the oil pump O ring use Dow corning on the O ring and STP oil to prime the gears and the 2 dots face the engine when installing 1 dot on the drive gear and 1 dot on the outer gear
