Your car has to be totally empty, so you can't bring anything with you riding around the track. Usually you just stack it up in front of wherever you park in the paddock. I've never had a problem with anything dissapearing. Well, unless it blows away

I've never heard of anything being stolen at Willow. It'd kind of break the 'car guy code.'

If we get there early enough maybe between the snack bar and garages, or on the other side of the garages. I think the turnout is light, there is usually only a handful of racecars.
What are you bringing? I am willing to bet its not a Porsche.

Mark,

Looking forward to seeing you out there. I was in the Olive green 73 that you timed for a few laps earlier this year. Sounds like this will be a serious P car party. Looking forward to it.

I am having very serious difficulty trying to get Wednesday off. I'm supposed to fly that day but I've been working every possible angle to get rid of that day. No luck yet.

I'm still working on a couple of options left. If those fail then it looks like I'll be a no-show.

Grrrr!

It's a 1965 Alfa Romeo GTA ex-Trans Am racer. It's basically the 911R of Alfa's. It's got a ton of race history from new and was driven by some notable drivers including Jochen Rindt. The Porsche is gonna stay home that day. I'll look for you guys in the morning when I get there. We'll probably roll in around 7:30.

I'm paid up too, Patrick (and I can't wait to go). Chris came buy this afternoon and we went over his car with a fine-tooth comb. It looks good.

Did you get some race-day tires?

What do you think of you, Chris, and me meeting up someplace and driving up as a caravan (say, the 91/ 5 interchange ride-share parking lot again)? Maybe we can convince Dave to meet p with us near the 14/5 interchange area.

Dave, what do you think?

Meeting near the 14/5 is fine. I have not looked at mapquest yet to figure out the drive time for me, but give me your ETA for meeting and I will be there. May car is ready. Had a set of braided steel cables installed as well as blue racing brake fluid.

Scott,

Thanks for the car checkup and all your help earlier. You are an awesome host. I really appreciate it. My car even got a nature car wash on the way home, it started coming down quite hard on the 5 and brake lights everywhere so I took back roads and they were quite slick. Tomorrow, I'll get her cleaned up and get everything packed and she will be ready for Wed. Thanks so much again.

Chris

Give me an ETA for the 14/5 meeting and I can try and be there also. I usually hit that spot just before 6am.

I made it to the interchange area just before 6 AM last time. Wanna try to meet at around that time?

I believe the gates open at 7 AM.

Dave,
I usually take the 126 to the 5 then hit the 14 do to less traffic. If we all hit the 5-14 junction at 6am we should be at the track by 7:30am easy even with a stop for coffee and gas in Lancaster.
Is there some where on the 14 just after the 5 interchange that is a safe place to pull off and meet?
