Put any engine in it which makes more power than a stock 72S. 73RS-style, SS3.2, 3.4, shoot - even a stock 3.2 on Motronic.. make it pretty before you put it in (painted/PC tins or amberglass, refinished fan, plating). The added value is easily more than the >$20k you'll spend. Make a couple more bucks by refinishing what appears to be color-matched Fuchs.. I'd do them RSR style. Peter (Autoclub911) will do them for around $1200.
I'm with vwsamba - around 40K is the price. I know what it would cost to get there, etc. Rollers are a tough sell. If it's truly a "put an engine in and go" type of roller it's worth the extra outlay. Bummer BAT won't take as-is. They must be sick of all the RNMs lately. I'd love to see what the market says. |

BaT would take it. They would just expect a $25k reserve on it.

30K at the very most for myself. I've seen that color or similar before but it looked better without the flares. That '72s motor near me is 23K so that puts it higher for the rebuild. That 912/911 SWB sold for 58,912 on BAT with a running 72s motor.
