Did you guys miss it's a Targa?
That drops the value down to around $10k.

I'm mostly in agreement, but the real rarities -- like this car if it had 1/5th the miles -- would probably bring a new high number. There's a big appetite for low mileage, unmolested cars. The 73.5 T Targa that brought $313,500 this year, while an outlier, is illustrative of my point.

Charlie Brown
I was able to get eyes on what I now call Charlie. It was everything that was described. To be clear, this car is not for sale... I know many of you enjoy speculating and stroking egos.
For the others that enjoy seeing what's still out there and how cool these old cars are / were, I'm attaching pics. It was a real pleasure to see a one owner car with such low miles. The owner has documented every fill up, oil change, service, etc. He has a hand written log book along with receipts for repairs and gas ![]() Long story short, I helped but an appraised price on the car for the family as the current owner is not well. I don't believe it's their intention of selling but need this number for estate planning. With that being said, of course I told them I'd be interested if they do decide in the future they want to part with it (insert peanut gallery). |

The Silver one on the glove box says "48 hours of Watkins Glen". Popular Zone 1 PCA plaque.
Great looking car. Get it running (always worth more when running), detailed and bam.. $100K

The rust coming through the quarter panel is very unfortunate for such a beautiful original car. The dash alone is worth 10K+ depending of course on what that thing is stuck to the front of it. For the planning of the estate I would think somewhere between 90 k and 100 k only because of the rust. If it had no rust issues it would be more than that.
