One-uppers, toppers, rep builders... all the same to me. I think topper must be British English though I haven't looked it up. I told a joke long ago here about an English, French and an Aussie bragging about their sex lives! Need I repeat it? OK, but I'll keep it short.

Yeah, believe it or not that joke was told by an Aussie teacher in an Indian restaurant just out the gate of a University we work at and 8 years ago. 2 American women teachers were at the table and 4 American men. The Aussie teacher was of Chinese decent -- not that it matters one iota. Also he took a hanky out of his pocket and blew his nose like a cow fart while shaking himself and put it back like nothing happened. That is something one would never do here -- never blow your nose in front of people eating in Japan, perhaps a cardinal sin.

Today I was on the phone with Chris, very old Aussie friend of 27 years. Back then in a women's Junior college teachers room, he lifted his bum and ripped a nasty loud fart with some others there, most noteworthy was an Aussie female teacher. I say -- Damn Chris! He say -- Hey! That's what people do!!

I ain't saying they're all like that, but they do have their own sense of humour and though it is closer to the Brits, it's rather quite different. I like that.
