New family member. Our best guess is cattle dog, German Shepherd and...chihuahua. Rofl. We are going to do 23&me for dogs and find out. We are curious. She’s 12 weeks today. The shelter said 40-45#. Based on her paws I’m thinking smaller than that.

do you guys still have the skittish cattle dog? not seen any pics of her lately now that I think about it.

Yep. She’s a nightmare. Still terrified of me no matter what o do. So I got another one for myself. We don’t ever give up on them. She will grow up, and hopefully a good mannered puppy will wear of on her.

Luna is the new one and she’s smart. We are 90% accident free which is amazing with a pound puppy with only 3 days potty training. Though I’ve been up since 2am when she first asked to be let out last night. Got a short nap 6-7am. It’s like having a kid for a couple weeks. And I’ll know that she’s not broken since I trained her.

right on. seeing you interact with the pup as it grows may give the skittish one more confidence.
