I’m not so sure it is. I think Bernie or maybe JMS called Max one the other day. ;)

That would be me. He provokes people, thus the tag. Do any of us really know what the p in pmax stands for? Maybe he set out to provoke people here from the very beginning...hmmm....

im sure nutz will dig it up and share the post raw mentions from the tech forum cause that's his thing. well, that and some boldened text to really drive his point home, a CC image, and the "remember that time miagi really took CC to the woodshed". you know, all his standard go-to's…

making an offer on that casa de caveman with the sweet shop today, wish me luck boys.

Wishing you good luck on the casa Juan! Is Tu casa Mi Casa? I'll swing through from NV to CA on the way on day if convenient! Meanwhile, can you teach me how to put a pic up on my forum name? I can't figure it out. Dimitry was kind enough to help me with a forum name change the other day. He's a good man! I don't want to ask him or bother him about simple stuff.

So much easier on the eyes than the views around here!

BTW - the hanger reached 111.6 degrees yesterday! Ten day forecast shows highs of 102-103 every day, with lows of only 80-82 each night. This place sux bigggly yuuuuugggeeeeeee!

Ronnie, just makin you jealous sitting up the mountains @ One forty five am @ 23 degrees celcius and 88% humidity.. quite nice! Clean air coming down the mountain.

Texas is tough, but that's what makes Texans tough! Hang in there! Autumn will be here before you know it!

Sounds like someone's crying mama here !

Should cutie pie Cavy, for a caveman (!), get a free pass to continue his trolling ways in the PPMPF forum ? What say the PPMPF "greats", Raw' included (!) ?

You know, that word wasn't even in my dictionary until then. Not smart enough.

Definitely not as smart as the caveman provocateur either !

You’ve posted that before and you were wrong then too. There is nothing about how he’s driving that is rushed or overly aggressive. He’s very smooth and holds a class record or two around the country at several tracks.

Wgo said it .... quick shifting such as the one in the vid, which is quick in my book, means more synchro wear leading to more $$$ spend.

No corn. It’s just pasture. My girl and I just got back from Home Depot. All trees on clearance. $61 got us 3 new fruit trees to expand the orchard. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1565286553.jpg

What kind of fruit? One walnut tree I got for free 2 years ago has just gone ballistic! A 96 year old man here gave it to me. I borrowed the neighbors umbo (excavator) and dug a big hole, did it right. Then we are getting bi-monthly truck loads of composted poo already run through a machine at the Kyoto zoo. Elephant, giraffe and zebra. No bacteria, no chemicals, just the best stuff money can buy. Free for us, but buy this at the home center and pay 1000 yen per kilo. I tilled a small truck load into my veggie patch months ago.

Gee, I just now thought we might be trolling Sugar's thread. Sorry Sugar!

An apricot, pear, and a nectarine. We currently have 3 apples. This whole acreage used to be orchards 50 years ago. We’ve got all the pig and chicken compost we will ever need.

You lucky you don't have monkeys! 2 weeks ago they got into my patch, pulled up potato, sweet potato plants. My own fault for not putting up the electric wires, just too busy. I did put up a net after the deer and pigs nibbled off my black beans and sweet potato plants. Just didn't have time that weekend to do the wire. If I don't do it soon, the monkeys will get my corn which is maturing. Corn is a monkey favorite. Folks up here don't grow corn. The monkeys will see it, then take what they like while there. They have already robbed my mountain plumb tree and the list goes on.

Matt Monson 08-08-2019 11:22 AM

I’m really lucky. No monkeys and somehow no squirrels. Squirrels will go through and take 20 tomatoes, take one bite of each, and just drop them on the ground. I think it’s because my property used to be one of the top Akida breeders in the world. They had about 2 dozen dogs here. I think their scent must still remain.

My next door neighbor loses a chicken to Fox every 3-4 months. 5 years and not a one. We’ve had deer and elk jump the fence but the coyotes stay away. We did have a rabid skunk this spring. He died when he drowned in the neighbors goldfish pond.

I use the pigs to clean up the orchard. Makes them taste better too when the time comes.

the place is right off of 108 in twain harte, so from nevada you'd come over the Sonora pass to get to where I will/might be. as suggested previously here some months ago when I finally land a place any of the MPF regulars are more than welcome to visit, even pnutz. although when we were in proximity in the bay area nutz had an open invitation to stop by for a look over of my carb'd car and to go for a ride but he was too scaaaared to take me up on it. things nutz does not understand like carbs on a 911 or social interaction in person, or the internet are out of his comfort zone so he never took me up on it.

regarding the avatar photo: you go to "user CP", to avatar and you can upload a photo as long as it's less than 50x50 pixels. you need to resize any photo to less than that for it to work. regarding my updated shot, that's me in my going out outfit. shaved my beard off so lost that image. love me some long toes boots!

Yup.

I wonder if Sugar realizes that the faster he shifts that 915 without the "pause", the more $$$ it will cost him.

if i recall, there was a video some time ago he put together of how to shift thru the gears. i don't think he ever cracked 3500 RPM's, and he definitely wasn't wearing out his gearbox...

Matt Monson 08-08-2019 01:27 PM

Making the 1-2 shift below 4000 rom speeds up wear on the gearbox.

Dayuuummmnnnnn, that bisch cost about 4X my little TexASS shack! BUT does it have a room with an a/c system that chills it to a comphy 48-50 degrees for sleeping, even in the middle of TexASS summer when the "lows" are 80-83?!?!?! And another room with a system that gets it to 60 for comfortable internet surfing and TV watching?!?! Who's yo' ice cube daddy!!! :D

Berns, 73.4 F is nice, but I fookin' hate humidity (anything above 20% sux ass, and means that my super-duty, homebuilt a/c rigs are running, even if cold outside, to dry that shiit out!). Strange that I live in such a nasty, sticky sweatbox, I know!

Autumn you say? Is that when the highs are in the lower 90s around here?!?! :)

juanbenae 08-08-2019 08:06 PM

it's a dry heat up this way and it cools off nicely in the evening to get your sweaty places dried some. that is of course if you ain't all pnutz scarrrred to sleep with windows opened when there are lions, tigers and baaaars about.

do carbs run better in hot, moist humid air than thin dry, hot stuff? maybe I gotta rethink some things???

dwelle 08-08-2019 08:45 PM

rad! congrats toby, when's the party? i'm a few hours south of ya, and that foothill driving is my bag.

west coast marketplace party!...

juanbenae 08-08-2019 09:13 PM

if all the inspections check out, well/septic and pest I should be in by the second week in sept.

maybe a Halloween party and we all dress like raw? big feather boas, tons of substance, inner cooler neck chains and big ass tails. bigger yir tail the better.

im busting Bernie, busting!
