Matt, Are you able to understand my question? Why do you take this crap here? This is the "Porsche Marketplace Discussion". There are other outlets such as "Off Topic Discussion" for your hate of our president. Simple question really.

with what i saw last night there is no wonder we as a society may never come back to any semblance of common ground. the "united" in united states is gone for ever, or until there is something the likes of 9/11 to find a common enemy once again. let the record reflect i would under no circumstance hope for another tragedy like that, but there is little else to unite this fractured country.

im concerned, very concerned about the next 6-8 months as to what will unfold here. im not talking about the covid either, but that too is a concern now moved to 3 or 4 on the list.
You would think COVID-19 would have been the denominating factor that would have united us today. Sadly it has divided us more. It’s only when it hits close to home with death that perceptions will change.

Thanks for making your real objection to OT discussions perfectly clear.

we have our own little community over in these parts that participants are very familiar with one another and we discuss a number of varying topics. i would not go to PARF if it was the only forum left here on pelican because there are no civil discussions there to be found.

here's what I'd suggest, don't click on any thread started by sweetstump, or anything over say,,,, 5 pages and you'll be in good shape. simple as that really.

so, take your 5 posts and go where the topics suit your needs better. otherwise don't come to our house telling us what we should be discussing as a group.

I get your point, but for many years, Marketplace has been a place for forum regulars to discuss off topic subjects, and exchange friendly nonsense banter, particularly in threads like this - seems perfectly fine to me.

BTW - I love PARF, but see why many do not enjoy that sub-forum.

Your question is irrelevant. Nobody forced you to read this thread. If you started at the beginning you would see quickly that it was another of Suga’s stupid rant threads. So we hijacked it, as we are wont to do. We chatter about all manner of things, including forest fires, pets, kids, and even politics. Don’t read this thread if it offends you. It really is that simple.

There are plenty of other legitimate threads in Marketplace for you if you actually want to participate in this forum. As for lurking? 5 years and you double your post count in an afternoon because you are whining about what you don’t like. Go find a real discussion and participate. That’s all it takes. And then stop reading this thread because it doesn’t interest you.

My 29 year old millennial far left daughter watched The Social Dilemma as well and texted me: "This is terrifying". For the record, she had already deleted FB from her life and lives by her phone.

Really smart, independent people can differentiate between what is perceived to be going on and what is true. With mainstream media and servers working against us, it isn't a fair fight anymore.

I too fear for us as a country in the next 6-12 months. The United States of America is no longer united. If you think it's ugly now, wait until he loses the election.

There are many who are engaged in creating that utopia "for the benefit of all". The "angry kids" are just the useful idiots to facilitate the process.

Sad but true for most of us.... myself included. You begin to become callous to the overwhelming violence which results in a nightly loss of life..... law and order becomes a buzz word with no one willing to unite and face the comprehensive realities required for real change.

The guy killed in Denver was a white nationalist who was about to throw down with a black man. A reporter was recording it and “the Patriot” got pissed and charged the camera, demanding he turn it off. The reporter’s “bodyguard” stepped between them. The Patriot hit him, and stepped back and pepper sprayed him. The bodyguard shot him dead where he stood. Play stupid games win stupid prizes. And the bodyguard is probably gonna do 25 years for murder on it. He got runner up.

I read a report that the body guard was not licensed to carry a gun. According to the article Denver has required classes and licenses for armed uniform guards and even stricter classes and license for armed plain close guards.
That guy has neither license. He's EFFED!

That’s true. It’s a mess. It’s why I put bogyguard in quotes. The security company subcontracted to someone who hired this guy with no license. None of that would matter if it was a clean kill because we have a make my day law. But the law doesn’t not see pepper spray as lethal force, so the bodyguard had no right to shoot.

There is a second gun that was found on scene but for now the police aren’t saying who it belonged to. Probably the dead man, but if it was holstered, he wasn’t threatening lethal force.

The lesson?
