Never give up!

Phase 1 is complete, only took 7 years! The body is shaped, complete and together. Phase 2 begins, the mechanical. Then phase 3, final assembly and finishing of body and interior. Never give up! Thanks for Wray Schelin at Pro Shaper for making dreams come true. I took his class on metal shaping years ago, learned some skills and he and me went crazy on my dream, an aluminum 550 Spyder. This is that dream realized.

---Adam

As I said on Instagram, one of the coolest builds ever. I'm very jealous!

Adam has nothing better to do than brag. Good on him though, as I said before Jesus saves, so does Adam. I admire all he does, even if this might be better suited for the Tech or Body forum.

These are the correct enthusiast responses, thanks guys. Maybe some of these other guys can stop being hall monitor and Debby Downer and just enjoy a cool car now and again.

Never give up, now those words ring a bell! Qoute me a couple years ago when some French guy got ripped on craigslist for sending 26K or something for a listed 911. He lost his money and asked us for help. Adam was the first to say you f-cked up, lost cause. amg643 roasted him, told him he was an idiot or something. I suggested bringing in INTERPOL etc and I said NEVER GIVE UP. As a joke I said last resort would be bring in a Russian crew!

Adam chastised me for giving him hope, saying I was leading him on and just feeding him sh-t. I wonder if the guy ever got his money back. Never give up goes a long way in life Adam. You may be an example, but not the only one, so don't brag to me and say you are the only success story in life based on those words. And as zeke said, why is this on mpf?

That's because there is no hope when you get ripped off from another country. That's why they run ads to rip off guys like that. If I answer one of those ads and say I can pick up the car, they go silent. If someone from France wants the car they are all ears. Because the scammers no that no law enforcement agency in the US or France is going to lift a finger to prosecute anyone. Nor will your bank help, you willingly sent money, there is no crime on the banks end of things. The only thing that guy could have done is hire a Private Detective, track down the scammer based on his bank account or whatever info he had, and fly over here and try to personally get his money back. But the scammers know that people don't do that, not over $25000.
So again, there was no hope in that situation, the guy got scammed, there was no car, and he will never see that money again. But if we post on forums that this is the case then maybe it will keep someone else from getting scammed.

I'll take your word for it Adam. I respect you, always joke with you too. On the other hand one must never give up in life or on life even in old age. Well said by you and I respect those words from your own mouth. I'm 60 now so getting a little older. How about you? Got me on a few years?

As a collective you make it very hard to enjoy discussion on PMD....

There once was a gent who felt he could say anything he wanted..... he destroyed the EarlySregistry, taking it from a vibrant community of sharing to a board dominated by hateful pettiness. Most of the members voted with their feet turning it into a verbal ghost town.

The same has happened here; a few have crippled the board by making every conversation about themselves with no sense of responsibility for civility or caring.

It must be a certain kind of loneliness that feeds this continuous behavior; where cruel interaction is interpreted as healthy.
