How is the health of the engine? Valve guide wear? Compression numbers? If the compression is good, report the numbers, that will help. The mileage will scare folks off.
I think 12k is reasonable, especialy if it's an asking price that's slightly negotiable. It's a popular color is a coupe and has nice wheels and other decent upgrades. I also notice that you may be in a higher priced area than us Bay Area folks. I'd start it at 12.5 and see where you get. Good Luck, George |

I'll second what George said. What is the story with the passenger fender? Is the title clear, or does it have accident damage from the past? I'm in the market for a 911 and yours is right up my alley of what I am looking for. So I would appreciate as many details as you have.

The title is clear. This may sound kinda strange, but I bought the car from a friend of the owner. Long story short. It was a one owner car when I bought it but since I was buying it from his friend it had to be put in that guys name before selling to me. Original owner was out of the country. So now I'm the third owner, but the second owner owned it for something like a day or two to sign it over to me.
The PO is the one that incurred the damage and had it repaired so that is all I was told. But the car drives straight, handles good and the engine pulls very nice. Lots of people (p-car people) think there is a cam in it and strangers think it's a V8. Again, I don't have any paperwork, but he said the top end was done at 175k miles. But I have no proof. Also, I don't have any leak down or compression numbers. Like I said, I'm just kicking around the idea. We are thinking about moving. That's why I thought around 12k for it was fair. But neg. Sounds like I'm in the ballpark then. If the top end was done I would probably ask more for it. I don't think it would need it for a long time, but no guarantees. I've been in these cars with around 80k miles on them and they show more wear then this car does. I really is a nice car. At least my price isn't way off base it sounds like.

If you get compression measured by a shop and include that in your sales write up, you'll find someone giving you 12k, no problem. It sholuld be cheap enough to have a shop do the compression test and a real bonus for the advertising, even if prospective buyers would have it verified again in their own PPI. At least they know it looks good and it's worth pursuing.
Good Luck with the move and the sale, George |

Ok, I'll get the Comp numbers and include them in my write up. Thanks Aigel!
Rich76_911s - If you'd like more info feel free to PM or E-mail me. I'm not dead set on selling, but if it was this easy then maybe I would.

What do the seats look like under the covers? At this point $12K sounds like a very fair price for your car.

The seats actually look pretty good. The only place worn through is on the bolster on the drivers seat. You can see in the 2nd pic what I'm talking about. Barely. Here's a couple of pics I have on my computer at work, but I can take more and better ones later.
