Sad, indeed. I figure you could probably get that into nice condition for about $5-7K more than it would be worth at the end of the process.
I would love to see an image of what the Viper/Lobster combination looked like new. Christmas-y.

Sold for $5666, but buyer just got to take all the goodies, S calipers, sport seats, original transmission, fuchs wheels, emblems, and the seller put it up on ebay again. This is a truly sad story, making this '72S nothing more than a unbelivably rusty tub without title waiting for the scrapper. It's making me sad as a Porsche enthusiast, that a few $ more would make someone tear up as a unique car as that.
If the seller at least could have tried to keep the car togheter, maybe someone with fresh parts could have saved it. That is how the porsches could look here in Europe, and $10k of body work could have saved that one. But now, starting to source seats, calipers, transmission, engine, fuchs, is too much for even the most optimistic guy (=me). Regards, Johan
