The dealer you are selling with is perfect for that car. He specializes in finding clueless/uneducated buyers with deep pockets.

Setting the record straight -
The first thing you do when you buy a 15 - 50 year old car is your own research and your own independent inspection, not rely on the person selling it. I think some of you guys need to get with it and read between the lines on some of the bad press on VMC.
Second, it would be pretty foolish and goofy to invest over 35+ years and $500 K in some state of the art mechanical/showroom facility, and be bluffing people on the condition of your inventory. Sooner or later, bull**** catches up with you. Go there and see it in person. This guy's as close to the real deal as it gets.
Thirdly, yeah Ebay feedback has gotten watered down. But having a perfect record from 250+ separate buyers says something, don't you think?
And lastly, having owned it for 20 years, I know my car. It ain't some dolled-up POS rolling down the hwy. Some of you are too jaded to know sh** from quality coach and mechanical workmanship. Like Neal, it's as close to the real deal as it gets.

There has been a lot of well documented BS from that seller. Paying off feeback, posing as a satified customeron this forum, in bed with the PPI people they steer you to, etc etc.

With all that known, I have said it before, if he has the car you must have then it cant hurt to look or ask questions, just go in with your eyes open.

LOL! ...not to mention his buying tactics! Having had several pcars over the years, I have been low balled by this 'seller' to the point of ridiculousness.

Yeah, go ahead and pay him over top retail because he screwed some other clueless car seller, while he 'sells' you on his intimate knowledge of his inventory!

I once asked them why they buy on eBay under one name and sell under another?

There were some notable cases where cars were listed/sold as well documented with service records. They just didnt note that the service records shown in the photos were not for the car that was listed.

I still stand by what I said earlier. If he has a "THE" car you want it cant hurt to look and ask, just dont be foolish.

Here is a classic example of the stuff pulled at VCM

Porsche : 911 Speedster 4 | eBay

That car which they call an actual "speedster" and lising it with a speedo reading in KM's and showing it with under 300km's actually is a US spec Carrera 4, and according to the carfax had over 87k miles on it back in 2007. Why not let potential buyers know the FACTS rather then have to look them up?

Those are the kinds of silly tricks they play all the time and why their rep is so sully all over the internet.

I don't know much about VCM, but anyone who still shops Ebay Motors is pissing into the wind.
