A fellow Pelican whom we've reached out several times to help http://forums.pelicanparts.com/911-930-turbo-super-charging-forum/803103-930-dream-comes-true.html?highlight=wgwollet I thought he would get her on the road and enjoy the boost... instead he couldn't resist the lure of the money-bag huh? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1398372100.jpg |

No my car is not the one everybody talks about that sold on Evil Bay for $60,000. Mine is a different color and interior.
Onboost, I appreciated help from the forum, things change. I still have the car, in time it will sell, it's a great car...the front fuel pump needs replaced, it doesn't energizes when given 12V. I have so many projects, and no time to get them done, out of space too, I am knee deep into restoring a 69E and I have another 930 I can't even get time to drive. I believe the cars need driven not looked at so it's time to move some of them. |

The reason the charts are flawed is that it lumps all the 911 wide body and "turbo look" cars in with the real 930's. |
Was not just him but Ebay is listed? I'm saying that evaluation is way off of 930 prices. If i were to sell based upon that info i would be pretty pi$$ed off. I've known Keith for decades and he must not be paying attention to what he is putting his name on. He was very attentive to rise of values over the decades as the Rolls & Bentley, Mercedes, Ferrari, Aston, and muscle market changed. You do not need to be a expert to know 930 Porsche are hot lately. If you rely on those numbers to buy you will be the luckiest guy to get one or just be wasting your time.

Yea, those charts and graphs did seem unusually low. I was just interested to see the auctions. Those showed what 930's were selling for 5-10 years ago. But the recent spike in 930 prices, especially in the 1976-1978 years, was not well represented at all.

I've always found the Hagerty Price Guide much closer to current market conditions. Though even their data is up to six months old as they only publish 3 times a year and it is based on historical info at the point it was published. The current edition #23 was published back in December. I'm looking forward to seeing their updated values which I believe comes out May 1st.
Hagerty Price Guide Report: 1977 930 Turbo Price guides are always just that: a guide to give some perspective. In fast moving markets, or those where actual transaction data is scarce, the price guides will never be able to keep up as well as someone who is really in tune with the market. |
