So the Magnus 77 has already blown by valuation table just published. I own a 79 and a 77, not sure why the 79 values are so much higher than the 77 values.

Anyone have a any info on the 3.0 turbo with a 3.2 that sold for 25k in Seattle earlier this month? I would love to have that car!

Agree - they are not accurate on the prices of 3-liter Turbos. This is good if you are a buyer in the market for a 3-liter Turbo and a clueless seller uses Pano as a price guide (no access to Web/Google).

Their top evaluation is for the 1989 Cab at $275K? Really?

Six hours into the "new" auction and it is already at $111k!

OMG.. Magnus put a decal on the outside of the car... and he left the wheel caps off!!! Wow... how does he do it!!!And in one of the photos I see that he .. he turned the speedo a bit to one side to get this cool angle !!!

He was even bold enough to leave those brittle B&B headers on the car...

Anything short of a million dollars is a steal for this "driver quality" 911 turbo!!

This going to be very interesting to watch.
wonder what the Mangus premium will be and why would he sell. granted he has 5 so 1 less probably doesn't hurt him.

Yes there may be one ( or 2) 89's sold at that price level. So then why not $300K or more for the 78 - 79 as at least 4 sold in that range instead of the $205 they post. Not very consistent in applying their newly found desire to actually acknowledge 930s recent popularity.

No idea why they would ignore the way higher $$$$$ interest in the 3.0 liter cars than the 86-88s top value (275) as I have never seen those prices in that range being sold, but plenty of 76 77s way above their mid range published estimates. Common Panos dig a little deeper, and if nothing else check out Ferrari chat or Euro cars being sold over there to know many serious collectors prefer the 3.0 liters and the 89 5spd as of now.

The mid range price on 86-88 seem to be OK but the top price to be anyway near the 77 price is not realistic.

The 80-85 euro prices should get the shipping docks with containers full of euros being bought by the dealers ( hey Stephen Z, how you doin?), as in the past, if sellers believe the estimates. Come on, there is a world retail market for these cars . OK, OK, now I get it. The disclaimer at the end reads "best guesses for right now"

Because Porsche announced 79 would be the last 930 for the US market and there was a run up in the price, I know that was along time ago, I know that they were reintroduced, I know the 78-79 cars are almost identical and should be valued the same.
But prices are not based on logic but feelings.

in my opinion you could argue that the '78 is just as significant given the substantial upgrades it introduced vs the 3.0 cars and the fact that '78 is the lowest production year for the 930 (almost 1/3rd as many '78s vs 79s)

Correct.. but all the gurus that make a difference haven't figured that out yet!

Like 'onboost' point's out it is' the 'guru's' view not mine, I am just reporting what I see and hear.
I think the facts you are pointing out will start playing into the common wisdom of the guru's.
I actually sought out my 78 930 for the fact it was the first year to have a IC and the 917 "like" brakes, made by Porsche and not Brembo like the later cars, and still had the hand welded on fenders and a 930 prefixed Vn# amongst other neat stuff.
Stuff I personally find cool.

Well the old 911s and 930s continue to be dragged out of the barns. I had no idea there were so many in my area hiding away. I cannot imagine what is yet to be seen. Lots of unclaimed lottery tickets out there.

This one came into the restoration shop this week. We did a performance exhaust on his '77 930 a couple years ago. He never mentioned having this car or I would have been all over him to bring it in. It's been sitting in a barn for over 20 years. Yes 20 years. Looks like it cleaned up pretty good considering.

What is something like this worth as-is? It will require and is getting a complete restoration. The good news is the car is 100% bone stock best I can tell.
1976 930, guards red.

Anyone remember T/A Radial 245/50-15s? This may be the last set in existance.

Brian, look at the lugs on those puppies. They look like they could go for at least another 20K - just not at anything over 20 MPH!

Nice find, thanks for the pictures.

Wayne the shop mechanic has his work cut out for him on this one. I'll be interested to see how it goes just getting the wheels off this car after sitting in a humid environment for so many years. Brave man.
One thing interesting to me is the stories I hear when folks drag these cars to the shop. Most of them were parked due to problems that are easy to fix. The last 930 was parked for a decade due to a bad fuel pump ground wire. Crazy.
