I do love a well done hot rod but $145k is well into good 964 Turbo money. No, the original car won't be as fast and you're unlikely to find one with that beautiful Slate Gray paint, but it will still hold value much better than this car. There was a similar 993 C4S setup on RL last year, I believe it had a Protomotive TT motor. Sat forever at an $85k ask and the seller eventually pulled it off the market. Very narrow market for this type of car.

Edit;
Here you go, and the final asking price was $80k.

Yeah, I can see what you are saying...it is a much more narrow market. That said, the right buyer would be all over this. RWB's with not nearly as extensive of engine/mechanical work are even more than this car.

Everyone is buying garage queens these days that are bone stock, and just hoping that the appreciation in price continues.

That said, the right buyer will come around for this car...someone that can appreciate the level of work put into it...it will take a while, but I think it will go close to asking.

Maybe I'm just optimistic, because I totally dig the car!

New retro RUF CTR @ over $700K? if you can even still buy one of the 30 built or being built. This one would be for me. Sort of Mcqueen grey with leather and not alcantara interior and near $600K for something else.
