As stated, $25K will get you an SC Targa with a few 'challenges.' That's probably the sweet spot for your budget. However, if you have resources to do drivetrain or body or interior work, you can potentially get a coupe - SC or Carrera.

How does one have a now defunct company "just" provide an engine and gearbox service???

There's a '69 912 that popped up on Samba this morning for under $25k that is worth considering. The seller is even well known around here as a straight shooter...

Well the paint it, but that adds character.
When I was shopping for my car, that exact car was for sale, but in really nice driver condition. I love that color. Too freaking many polo red 912s around.

250k = GT4, 993 Coupe, 72 911 Targa If I had to pick one it would be the GT4 Driver - 77 Targa or well used 964 around 25k

Actually, you can get a Superformance GT40 for about $125k and then a nice early 1970s long hood with the rest. Oh, Brammo, if you want to check out one of the GT40s let me know. I am outside of J-Ville.

I am not looking for a steal, but I also don't want to get "taken". Has anyone used WeGoLook for inspections, etc? Thanks
