Hi guys,
Just trying to figure out how much should I pay for this car. The seller has this in storage for 8-9 years. Car had CIS converted to carbs but still have the CIS. Car is not running, missing one electric module (200$) owner said. Clutch is new (8-9 years) and tranny should be owner said... All molding are brand new (from 8-9 years), no rust and the owner resprayed the car about 10 years ago. 1973 911t - 3rd owner car - Mileage unknown yet (owner will tell later) Is the engine need to be rebuild/reseal ? Can the proper seats and headlight rings be sourced?
915 Trans might seep a little lube at 1st from hardened seals....I'd drive it and and keep an eye on that......Will need fuel and brake systems gone thru. Looks solid w/o rust......I'm no expert on prices, but have 2 longhoods.....I can see someone paying $40K once it's ready for the road?????

Thank you sir ! I can surely find headlight rings on ebay, seats have been recovered. I just noticed I should get rid of those hood pins and rear crest

Seats look nice, but I'm sure they are from a later year and not "correct" for a '73.....Not sure if that matters to you are not?
My 73.5 is missing the front bumper guards.....Keep me in mind if you ever want to delete them?

pull the plugs and hope no water got in the engine with those fine "water catcher" air cleaners

Look decent .why spray paint all over check for rust Under paint .Dont wait to long before that hornet nest get bigger.I would say 20-25k as is it .73 interior is not cheap and a 73 cis fuel tank(open ) is unique .

It's a complete car minus seats. Apparently the owner had a deal on new seats so old ones are ling gone.

The tank is probably rusted, you will need new lines, you need to check the engine over very thoroughly, as well as the electrics, and underneath. I have a 73.5 project In MUCH better shape than that one and I think it is probably really worth 35k this Saturday at 12pm EST. That car has an awful rattle can look to it but , but yeah aside from the seats and small bits , appears to be mostly there. Realistically in this market let's be clear a place like BHCC would offer 20-22k for it as is and have it on their website for 39k in a matter days as a "barn find".

This car is not CIS it a MFI and you can see MFI gas filter.

If all the MFI stuff is there that would be a big value add. Is this a s/r car? If not another value add. Are those bubbles or water droplets on the fenders?
IMO the CIS cars are a great driver and easier to own, the MFI cars however command more $$ all other things being equal. This car has a lot of pluses I can see the dash looks original and the car appears to be all there, better jump if you are serious in this market. Time permitting a COA would be nice to check trans and engine numbers and options looks like has some S trim wonder if it has the calipers etc. B |

All the MFI stuff is there and it's a street car. The bubbles on the fenders are water droplets. Dash is original. As per the owner, here's what's need to be done:
- Paint (not a complete respray, maybe buffing and compounding) - Interior door panel, carpet - Seats are new but not the good year (fr and rr seats need to be replaced) - Tranny is good, clutch and brakes are brand new (9 years indoor storage) - Engine turns freely, needs carb conversion to MFI Based on these, how much should I offer ? I'd say 35-40k$. What you guys think ? |

MFI with 73.5 those huge bumper guards??? The did the big ones with CIS to hold off the Impact bumers (short hood) for another 1/2 year. Something is wrong here.........

I am thinking 25-30 k is fair based on what I seen sell lately.
The solid w/s moulding front and rear bothers me as does the paint job no orig seats etc . So if it were my cabbage I would want it for 20k but in this market would probably get out bid/aced by another buyer . FWIW My 73 CIS has those bumper guards shown. B |
