Floor is gone on this one. Guaranteed.

Ok, ok. Anyone with half a sense of buying one of these pre-galvanized cars needs to put it up on a lift and inspect.

I bought a '74 coupe just like this one. I bought this '74 for $6500 three years ago. It had the SAME signs of rust in the floor as this one. It looks like the same floor as mine. The undercoating was holding it together. The floor was gone on mine. And it had rust in lots of other places. It also came from Florida as this one. These cars rust - bigtime. Needless to say I made nothing and sold it for $6500, and it had a 3.0 in it that didn't run.

Just saying - this car is hiding rust. The rust-throughs in the floor are only the tip. When I was done prodding around my '74, I pretty much vacuumed up the whole floor with a shop vac. And I told the guy who bought it - and I sold him the new floor I had too.

This car has rust. Most do. The buyer better get a PPI on that body. It's gonna be a headache, as the floor is probably gone and the isolated holes are nothing of the sort.

rather than complain someone should have bought the car

claims he's a dealer so could have fixed what's wrong. if dealers count as owners then everyone buying a brand new car is the second owner.

Fixed is since last Wednesday? And if he fixed it why didn't he say so in the video?

1 post and taking the dealer's side? You related to him?

I guess he didn't have time to vacuum out the same dirt inside the car the original seller had when he photographed it. LOL

Just a couple of rust spots. No big deal.

That's the original owners dirt, new seller didn't want to devalue the car by taking away that special original "barn find" patina.

I am surprised no one is mentioning the lower corners on the rear window the bubbling there jumped out at me and would really be concerned now about the rear parcel shelf area and below.
Nothing wrong with buying a car and selling it at a profit but do it with candor and integrity. I think this car qualifies as well sold by the first owner. As for the next owner go in with an open mind and a larger opening wallet. Front suspension parts do not pull away unless the mounting points have been structurally compromised...aka rust. White paint can hide sins like a sweater and I see so many here.

Wow, EXACTLY as you said. 17 bids in the first two days now nothing for the last three days.

I don't get the private thing.
Isn't every Ebay auction de facto private b/c your identity is never disclosed to other bidders, regardless.

Exactly so only reason sellors have to list this way is to hide the schills from those paying attention. No other reason I can think of.

I don't believe the seller has any interest at all in transparency.
Reason enough to avoid this one.

Looks like someone used "white-out" to "repair" the paint chip areas....
Were moonies offered on 74's?

All 74s were equipped with steelies standard to keep cost down. Almost every dealer or customer ordering the car chose cookies or Fuchs. Last year for this. 75 came with cookies standard.

What logic did you use to arrive that that conclusion?
