8900 miles? OK, I see a higher price. But not double the top of the market.

Those are the kind of cars Maninblack buys. Maybe he'll buy that one, too.

Possibly just to prove a point to internet strangers, even.

Every classic Porsche - Marshall Goldman advertises is priced ridiculously over the current market.

Just can't stop thinking of me, can you?

And I already have a low-mileage '87 coupe so I'm out.

Not my help. Help from a board-certified professional, yes.

They wanted $157,500 for it two months ago. Guess this means the bubble has finally burst?

Sloan has cars like that. They had an SC with less than 5k miles a couple of months back. Museum quality.

Several years ago my brother bought a one owner 87 Carrera in this same color. One owner, wow, the guy got it as a high school graduation present. When I graduated my Dad gave me $300 and told me to go to Savannah to get drunk, and this guy gets a 911, but I digress.
It arrived and was the worst 1 owner car on the planet. They key broke off in the lock, the dash lite up on fire, the guy's partial refund check bounced, you name it.
Matt, my brother, slogged through it, re-did the whole interior, had a nice paint job put on it, and can now say he has a two owner car. But what a ride.

Also, my guess on the $135,000 car, it's on consignment.

Collectors have been buying up really nice SC and Carrera's like that for over $100k for a couple years now. Price is a little high but not as far fetched as some might think.

I was curious about that as well and found this blurb from a local news article that says they own all the inventory.

Of course, that may be about as reliable as their claim of selling 50 - 80 cars per month. (from Northeast Ohio ??) FWIW, I've been watching 993's on eBay for almost a year - and they're still listing the same handfull of cars over and over again.

That's all good reading. Maybe if I had hit the Powerball then just maybe I would consider.
