That's funny as hell. I didn't realize we were all a bunch of woke snowflakes around here.

It was an off color joke. It was not hate speech. It was not misogyny. You guys are making it into way more keystrokes than it deserves.

If you find me offensive, the hide posts button is fantastic. I'm blissfully unaware of whatever "contribution" Bernie is attempting to make to this conversation. No doubt he's calling me a hypocrite and other rude things, as is his nature. Meh. Life's too short to worry about the opinions of strangers...

Not a problem at all. I enjoy the conversation in this forum. Like I said, please continue. This isn’t Parf! I wasn’t born yesterday and enjoy a good leg and boob thread. Nothing wrong with nature and appreciating the other sex (I’m a biologist ffs) but for sure don’t like comments about girls being passed around.

Some long hood content to re-focus. My old bus is getting the CDI unit reinstalled in my garage after 20 years of MSD. Fingers crossed. Hope I can remember how it’s wired.

Glad to hear level heads have prevailed. I’ll tell a story, so you understand who I am...

I was never in fraternity and really don’t care for the whole culture around them.

The year was 1999, and I was a few years out of college. My best friend was headed to Colorado to house shop and we decided to make a bike, ski and climbing trip out of it. We started in the Tahoe backcountry skiing. Then to Durango for a bit of biking. We finished out the week in Telleride/Ouray doing a winter ascent of a 14er and some ice climbing.

Anyway, we headed down into to town. We started in a bar. Somehow some locals adopted us and we ended up at a house party. At the party we met the son of the Lt Governor of Tennessee and his entourage of frat brothers. We were dirtbagging it, and they offered to let us crash on the floor of their suite up on the mountain.

We migrated over there, and they brought along two drunk girls they had met at the party. Once at the suite they were deliberately loading these girls with shots, planning to have their way with them. Around 2am one of them passed out. One guy in particular thought this was his chance to get laid. My buddy and I interceded. I carried her to the bathroom and put her in the tub. I checked her pulse and breathing and decided she was stable. I told her friend to lock the door behind me and only open it for me.

The guys were so drunk they didn’t really know what happened. We just told him she was using the bathroom. For a while he hovered around the door but after an hour or so he too passed out. I then slipped into the bathroom while my buddy stood guard. I carried her out of the hotel over my shoulder while her friend and my buddy followed. We drove them back to their apt in town and went and slept in the woods.

Actions speak louder than words. I’ve been an ally my whole life. I despise our white male chauvinist culture. Despise it.

I called on this one:

1969 911E Coupe

I got the impression that the car had seen a hard early life and then sat as the owner aged...It has some rust holes, and the gaps imply collision to me...Too many variables for me to feel good about buying remote, but for someone who knows what to look for in terms of hidden rust and costly damage...it's quite pretty.

I am always leery of dealers not willing to put the car on a lift and take proper undercarriage photographs.

This is what you're supposed to do. One would hope most men do something similar and the perverts are dramatically outnumbered. One hopes.

I have a similar story from 1972, but I watched as her girlfriends left her passed out on the sidewalk, with her skirt up to her chin outside the happy hour, for the world to see and take advantage. They just left her there and got in a cab. WTF?

Some friends. I made sure she knew they left her there after she sobered up.

We were dramatically outnumbered. We were two and they were 5. There was a point where I thought it might come to blows while we waited him out, but one of their guys sided with us and distracted his buddy, knowing that we were a couple of ripped adventure athletes and they were fat debutantes.

This one is a true basket case. Rusty, no engine, no trans, more rust... But, it's a long hood for ~$17K.

1969 Porsche 911T non-sunroof coupe - $17,250 in Orange County California. Craigslist Link:

How times have changed. When this thread started, under $10k was the rule. I think that’s $20k now...

Not long hood, but did anyone see the SC targa project in cars FS before he deleted it? It went fast.

What’s the going price for a running 3.6 these days?
That and various other parts might make this worthwhile for someone (as long as they bring a sheet to cover it on the trailer home!)

Yeah, it’s gone already? They shouldn’t let folks delete those ads IMO.
