Value of 95' Carrera with Tip and 81K miles
I wanted to get an idea as to what to help my friend sell his 95' Carrera with 81K miles and a tiptronic? Its a very well taken care of car. White with grey, no paintwork, carfax, service records from reputable porsche repair shop, new A/C control module, everything works, good tires. It does have an S look tail.....unless someone has a stock decklid and wants to trade? Ha ha!
Do you think $45K is in the ballpark, up or down? Thanks for your input! It may go to Pelican cars for sale next.

I'd say $45K is in the ballpark (I have a '95). The tiptronic could be a sticking point for some buyers and they may want to adjust the price downward even more. The stock deck lid would be nice to have to go with the car.

I would adjust that 45k down 20% for the tip. I wish it wasn't that way, as I have a nice 993 tip myself. The tips actually cost more when they were new.

I can only say that I'd never consider a tip and have a few friends along the same lines -- this simply decreases the demand pool so the $ decreases with it

We only paid around 28,000 for a 60k 1998 tip cabriolet, that was sitting on a BMW dealership lot. It is a super clean car that is loaded with options. If it were a coupe six speed it would probably halve been mid 40's The market share for tips is a small percentage, and thus they are hard to sell. We bought our 993 tip for my girlfriend, but after driving it a few times, I bought it from her for a touring car. We have three other manual 5 and six speed 911s though, so I enjoy not having to work the clutch in traffic once in a while.

Makes me wonder how hard and $$ to convert to 6-speed.

I just looked at a 95 Cab 6 Speed (realize different car altogether) with 27K on it, white with blue interior. Seller wanted 40K, I passed after inspection and one of the flippers on here bought it. Not sure if the coupe/tip would have been easier to sell being a coupe, but I own a 964 Tip Coupe and find it an amazing touring car. Wife doesnt want to drive anything but that anymore, and recently I have had unsolicited offers from someone only wanting a Tip due to leg or knee issues. Yours would fit that bill perfectly.

White is fairly rare color for 993's....grey interior is not a positive....condition and receipts are everything......bon chance!

That dealer listed car says 5 speed shiftable automatic. The tips in the 993 cars are 4 speeds. Prices from dealers like this are always inflated. Let's see some examples of what 993 tips are actually selling for.

Agreed - and that's why it's a reference point - if $46K is an inflated dealer ask for a similar car, then it should help inform the OP re: looking for $45K.
