Yep. That's the song I've sung in most every bubble pop thread in the last year.

Most definitely sinking over the past 90 days. It's pretty obvious to someone like me that is shopping for one daily. Lots of people crawling out from under rocks trying to take advantage of the market that existed a year ago. It's gone.

the guitar market is similar right now. Its fear. Fear of who will win the election, and what will happen after Brexit, and all that stuff.
Collectible guitars have dropped significantly lately. Still some ask sky high amounts , but I don't see them selling for that.
I think SC's have peaked a bit, seems more are just under 30K than awhile back. More realistic to me anyway.

Aside from the fact that the election is a given now, what is there to fear??? Trump would have confiscated all guitars? What sense does that make.

I second this. The collector guitar market is in the trash. No one is buying anything. I have sold 3 guitars in the last two months - one rare Gibson and it went for nothing. I should have kept it. I sold an Alembic for half of what I was asking. It's crazy - but it's been in the trash for about a year. When you have to sell though - you have to sell.

Our economy is not stable and this has been a zero growth recovery. The new earnings are all at the top and the middle has seen no gains in either jobs or income. Its why Bernie and Trump have been so successful at opposite ends of the ideology spectrum. But this isn't parf, so I'll stop there.

A few years ago, I remember reading in Vintage Guitar, the guitar market crashed in 2008 and never came back.
The guitar market is just like any other nostalgia market. Eventually, everyone dies, and it just becomes old junk.

Ok, but again what's that got to do with anxiety over the election (which is amply decided by now anyway) and the price of designer guitars? The "zero growth recovery" has been playing out for eight years now.

Seems to be a huge price difference between the 911S, 911E, 911T and 912.
Is the main difference engine power?
