Thanks for the responses everyone. The dash pad is cracked.
The color is original, but the paint is not. The body is solid.

I was asking to get an idea of what to offer, but also for them to know what it's worth. If I don't buy it, at least they know what is a reasonable offer.

I don't mind taking on a project. If I do it, it won't be a concourse restoration. That's above my price range and knowledge level. If I were to take it on, it would be to make a nice driver, but I also don't want to permanently devalue the car in the process. I wouldn't be upset if I used seats from a '73 instead of a '72. I won't spend $$$ to get a period block if the 7R is in good usable condition, but I also won't hack up bodywork to stuff a water cooled rotary in there (I'd only do that to tick you off just kidding).

Thanks again. Shaun.

You can fit a rotary without cutting metal. It's been done before! Just sayin'.

Cool, buy it. If they have no interest in it. I think 15k is not a terrible deal for anyone. You will get a great deal but have a lot of work ahead of you, but they could sell it to someone else who would just turn a quick buck on it.

Sure on the open market it could go for a lot more but for a quick sale to someone they know that is not horrible.

Concourse restorations are for the birds, well it just is not for me. I want to make a fantastic perfect off the lot car, now I want to never drive it and put it in a museum. No thanks!

If you buy it, start hanging out at early S, lots more parts that are right for that car. If you do buy it get EVERY little scrap you see!
