Do you have a link or more info on this car? Couldn't find it anywhere.

I feel like this car is under priced?

Don't see the miles listed anywhere but what are the downsides to this one?

Ahh triptronic.. makes sense.

Here is another car that I tried buying last time he had it for sale..

Tried contacting him again since I just was in Kansas not to long ago but waiting on a response..

Maybe someone near by can check it out?

Or buy it if you want cuz looks like I'm having no luck

If a seller isn't putting contact information in the body of the ad, rather than a craigslist response link, I tend to think of them as less than legitimate

Haha, I love this statement he makes.
"I've done a lot of research over the last few months and I know what the car is worth. once the car is put back together it is worth double what I'm asking so please don't offend me with a low offer. Serious buyers only."

Translation; It's going to cost more money than I have to fix this car, but I want all the profit with you spending the money and doing all the work.

Yup, I agree. He said he will send me more pics this afternoon so we shall see.

At that price say I shoot for low to mid 20's. Is that still too much?

Scarrry. Front end is super weird. With a nice set of wheels and some finessing it would be a cool car but not my taste.

If you put contact information in the body of the ad you start getting spam emails and phone calls in under a day. Plus all the tire kickers start texting your phone at all hours. F that. I will never ever put direct contact information in a CL ad.

And of course, they cannot do that hitting the reply button...to each his own

When they hit the reply button they do not get your actual email address. It comes in via CL and is tagged as such in the title. It's an added level of anonymity CL added because of scammers and spammer. I, and many others, consider a great feature. There's no factual basis to your assumption that people who use it are more likely to be scammers, but if that's your belief, don't reply to those ads. Like you said, to each their own.

Usually any Beverly Hills Club Cars are market value. The owner is not stupid, hard to get any deals from a car dealer, they need to pay overhead costs.
If ever out in California, it’s worth a visit to see that place.

wgwollet 03-14-2018 09:28 AM

That 1981 for $26,000 is too much money, really.

He thinks it’s worth double when done.....$54,000 ugh
Coupe good, but done more like $35,000

kc911s 03-14-2018 09:51 AM

He had the 81 listed for sale feb of '17 for $16k. Listed it a month ago for $19k and lists it today for $26k. No engine rebuild history so there is $10k. No idea about head studs. Been sitting. He is hoping for a pay day.

These cars are "worth" more when not running. Total joke- many shops he could get the fuel pump installed at- but then it would show all the other faults it has from sitting for a decade.

Dang... very true.

I texted him and my old texts popped up that never got a reply.

Still haven't gotten any of those pics he said he would send me afternoon.

Oh well.

kc911s 03-14-2018 10:57 AM

Probably overwhelmed with texts. That will drive the price up in his mind
