correct, probably still worth $$$

Might be a good starting point for someone who wants an air-cooled to tinker with.
|
So wants a $2k deposit and I’d have to get a flight from CLE to AZ this weekend idk if it’s a scam or not but he sent me title pic also and those above.
It’s a lot of money just to hold it till 3pm today... Let me know if I can PayPal him and still be safe if he’s a scammer?? Sent me address of where ppl are meeting him at 2pm also. Let me know this crap gets frustrating.. |

Ask for a photo of his drivers license and send the money. you will have a 912 and not the 911 you wanted, remember that. |
That is a 20K car if it does not have rusted out rockers.
|
DUDE is super sketchy. Will update after 1pm

These cars rusted while you looked at them and this one looks to be a mess. Certainly not a project for a first timer, or someone who wants a 911 for 20K. Wasn't there a thread on a similar 66, 3 gauge 912 recently? Is this the same one? I wouldn't waste my time or money, especially if the seller seems sketchy. I think you'd be heading down a very long and expensive road, and would blow your budget just on body work. I love 912's but they're not 911's. Pass. It's not a cash cow flip and it's not what you want. I've seen the other cars that caught your eye. For a keeper you need to be looking at impact bumper cars.

ownership
weird the ownership is from a early 911 1965!!

There is no reason for chasing bargain basement prices 911s. 90% of these ads are scams and the other 10% are sold within minutes to dealers.
Financially you are way better off setting you budget to $30k and vetting cars/owners properly without the stress of rushing to pick up a $20k bargain beater. $30k gets you a good 76-83 911 or 912. And all 911s will need work so you always have a project whether it's a $20k car or a $50k car. |

ANYWAY DUDES A SCAMMER. Straight POS... Talked to him on the phone, told him to send me pic of his L's Blah blah blah turns out the sh#thead got some pics off Beverly Hills Porsche club off a '65 911 front tub and after google searching all his images he sent finally got a match.. One of the pictures he sent me was tons of receipts and one has a waster mark from a shop and he said he "took those pics two days ago no editing or anything" Whats a dumb@ss like going way out of his way to scam and the easiest part he messes up.. 3-5 were daily runners no rust 18-20K steel widebody 911's some would calll sheepers but they were super nice and very ideal! No ugly kits just turbo steel widebody and nice cars that I missed out on. There was a gold salvage car I really wanted that was being sold by a younger couple i SLEPT on it was such a deal oh well not going to think about those cars. Those were cool and I'm looking for something similar since I can now get one and not have to worry about tuition payments. Anyway, yeah this guy is an idiot. Said he is law enforcement and sent me a google image screenshot of 'him' hahaha Now I told him I sent him a deposit and he wanted a photo so i sent the photo of the '65 911 tub and he was clueless. Dudes a clown going to see how long I can keep this going |
