That's it. I'm calling the top of the bubble.

No bubble with the air cooled porsche market..

This is simply a correction that was so long overdue it was actually amazing.

But what's more amazing is how there are those that refuse to accept reality.

I guess what they are saying is if we go into a serious recession commodities will fall.. so will stocks, real estate, art, precious metals, currency.

For sure if you're going to invest the air cooled and vintage ferrari market is the most rewarding way as far usability and life experiences.

No one ever said pour your whole portfolio into the vintage aircooled porsche market.

One or two will greatly enhance life experiences and still return dividends.

We should be greatfull of where the vintage air cooled porsche market is today. Being able to enjoy, own, careful for the porsche and still come out above water if not pay out a little dividends!

As a long time (20 year) air cooled porsche guy I can say I remember the DARK DAYS when these cars would deprecate and cost huge amounts of money to keep running.

So bad that is was embarrassing to admit just how much you'd thrown at a looser, a deprecating asset. Hurtful things people would say as far as wasting money on worthless pursuits.

Depreciating assets.. NEVER MORE and I for one am forever grateful!

Yeah, the investor guys are getting real annoying. I'm getting more and more calls from guys looking for a PORCH, but it must be Investor Grade! WTF does that even mean?

Do I look like I'm investing?

They're still setting up. They haven't gone live yet.

There are still clueless people buying at stupid prices.
I went to a confiscated/donated car auction last weekend because there was a very rough non running 912E I thought I might be able to pick up for 4-6K it went for $17.400. At the same time in the Tucson CL there was a nice driver level running one for $18,000.
Most people are always behind the power curve, going up and coming down.

This share offering thing is pure genius from the point of view of the issuer. Imagine building a dream garage of great classics on a bunch of suckers' dime AND you get to drive them at least a bit AND they cover all the running costs and possibly even pay you a fee (that I'm not sure of, I haven't checked).

Honestly I wish I had thought of it myself.

I wonder how they actually plan to do this.

Let's say they get $30k of investor money.
They buy a car and store it.
Now let's say investors want to sell their share.
Where does the money come from?
I guess there will have to be a reserve requirement.

Curious how often they will mark to market.

Something like this that is a dark market can get pretty tricky. Can the share holders sell directly to others or just they sell back to the investment group who then charge a spread on the transaction? I have no clue why you would want to do something like this with so many other asset classes available but people are always looking for alternative investments.

Now, will someone offer a CDS type product to play the other side? That's the question.

My guess is if you want to sell and you can't find a buyer, you get a bid at lower than cost or market, minus a healthy discount.

CDS wouldn't be the right instrument for shorting though. You should be able to borrow some shares from someone who has them (for a fee) then sell them to someone who wants to go long, then buy them back from someone who wants to sell and deliver them back to who lent them to you.
