Does the vin have a 91154 or 91156 prefix?

Regardless, break that engine in. Get 1000 mi on it minimum before listing it.

Mid 30s sadly. If restored could bring 60-75k. 75 Carreras are ultra rare. I take it original engine is lost? Might be worth searching for. I think middie Carreras are a real unique car. Rarely see one for less than 50 if original.

As Matt has suggested, the vin is needed to offer an opinion on $$$

My .02 which according to my wife is useless, but as on owner of a 75 US Carrera - #215 of 395
1) post the vin
2) Not a show stopper but interior door panels incorrect for a 75
3) 75 Carrera - US or ROW didn't have center shift console
4) Not a 75 tail - US or ROW
5) mirrors wrong for a 75

If there is anyway you can include the original motor , that would add value for a potential buyer. Are the original rims available? finding 74 or 75 dated 15's are getting hard to find and valuable.

Please do not take my comments as rude- when I saw your car listed previously , I think on RL. My initial reaction was tin sniped cut for tail pipe rear valance with jagged edges, appears to be dirty air filter. Not signs that this car is loved. OK, do not flame me- just trying to be honest

You could get $40K out of it if you're willing to wait for spring and the right buyer.

But I never every understand when people leave easy fixes like below unrepaired when selling. I think a lot of sellers leave money on the table for cheap repairs.
Detail the car and fix any cheap trim item that is going to make the buyer question the rest of the car.

I'll concur. This thing is dressed up like a well-used '85, so you're basically asking for a VIN premium. Without the original engine it'll be a very tough slog.

I do think it will bring more than mid-$30's....I'll go $38-40k as it sits, but it'll take time to find the buyer.

that deck could have come with the Carrera script and maybe it's being misinterpreted as a Carrera. not sure of the details of the 75 Carrera, but would it have been flared or a narrow body car. if flared do those look like the right flares?.

True ^ Probably the late model deck lid added to a regular 75S that had flares added to it. The Carrera did have flares and black trim though, so it's still a possibility that it's a Carrera.

it's got euro side markers and US rear bumper pads. you'd think the Carrera would have the smaller euro pads, no?

I don't know , but these are the things that come to mind in the few photos. a light 75 with a 3.2 is a fun car I suggest.

To me its a hodge podge car.. nothing good or bad.. nothing terribly original or desirable.. Perhaps if the VIN is a Carrera indicator its worth a little extra but would need a full restore. The bitter me says this is a $20K car.

Market isnt kind to hodge podge cars.

Set a price and take offers.

Getting a full, detailed and accurate description of the car and what it needs will help.

75 Carrera does have flared rear fenders. Difficult to tell from photos if it has correct flare.

Great catch - US bumper pads vs. Euro side markers.

If this is a real 75 Carrera- a 3.2 is a nice modification. Lowers the value for the purists but still a fun little car.

I never realized there are a half dozen or so "SC/Carrera/RS" flares with such subtle differences until recently. what I do know is my domino's just don't look quite right, but I still love eeemm.

It looks like the leading edge of the rain gutters are painted black? I've never seen that done before . . .

Maybe it’s a fat finger and really an 85 Carrera, not a 75?

That would explain the door cards, center console and the decklid. The 930 style wheel is not what came in an 85 right?

Not original but Pelican has sold hundreds of those 930S rep wheels. I’ve got one in my 86.

I'd say it's a 75- has that old school odo reset vs the newer push button reset.
