Nope - my eyes are trained to hone in on the proper things; unlike Nathan, I didn't even notice that there was fruit on the ground around that juicy, center specimen (not sure what's wrong wiff that Nathan dude - his field of vision is suspect!)!

If you look at their shape it’s much more like a lemon than an apple and nobodies talking about what’s on the ground

If squeezed, will they make lemonade?!?!

And BTW, they're almost on the ground!

Thanks, everyone, for the kind words and suggestions. I'm inching closer to actually selling the car. I have one or two folks that want to look at it tomorrow at a local event. To be honest, I'd love for it to stay in the area so that I could see it on occasion.
If that doesn't pan out, I will send a response to everyone who sent me a PM here expressing interest in the '74. Only then will I post for it for sale officially. I'm in no real hurry, and I do want this to go to a good home.

Nice.

And Raw, it’s home, not hone.

Get some, bub (copied from The Grammarist).

"Hone in began as an alteration of home in, and many people regard it as an error. It is a very common, though, especially in the U.S. and Canada—so common that many dictionaries now list it—and there are arguments in its favor. Hone means to sharpen or to perfect, and we can think of homing in as a sharpening of focus or a perfecting of one’s trajectory toward a target. So while it might not make strict logical sense, extending hone this way is not a huge leap.

Outside North America, home in prevails by a huge margin. It also prevails in North America, but only by a ratio of about two to one. Hone in is common even in technical, scientific, and military contexts, where one might expect home in to prevail. A few American and Canadian publishers clearly favor home in as a matter of policy, but most apparently have no strictly enforced policy one way or the other."

Yeah, im aware of the "enough people use it wrong that it is now right" argument. Irregardless, it is incorrect.

To put a bow on this, the car is going to its new home tomorrow. The local gentleman who expressed interest in it over a year ago bought it. Sad to see it go, happy that it is staying here in the area and that I'll still be able to admire it a few times a year.
