I got a URO intake boot about 6 months ago and it didn't fit. I made them aware of the isssue so it's hopefully been fixed by now. Wound up ordering a Hamburg Technic and it fit perfectly.

Looks like the only test is to check ohms (2-3) across the 2 contacts, did your mechanic do this. FV's are very reliable and don't often go bad. I would test yourself before going down this route...

At any point did you disconnect any of the CIS electrical connectors. If so, did you mark where they go. Sounds like one is crossed.
