Question about head/coner/tail light compatability - Please help
Hello all. I have a 1996 318ti. I'm getting mixed stories as to what lenses are compatible with all the different body styles of E36. I have dealers on eBay telling me that 4 door sedan front amber corner lenses are compatible with 318ti. I have another eBay dealer telling that the 4 door seden corner lenses will only fit a foor door sedan. I have one eBay dealer telling me that tail lenses for 318ti are unique. I have another eBay dealer telling me he thinks 2 door sedan tail lights are what I'm looking for. And would I be right if I said that the head light lenses are compatible with all E36. Every single one of them said check with your local dealer to be sure. My local dealer wasn't interested in helping me at all. Can someone please clear up what is really compatible/not compatible? Thank you for any help.

A few things,
first, the rear taillights are unique to the 318ti only. Nothing else will fit in there. As for the clear corners, The corners off the four door cars are the same as on the 318ti, so there isnt a problem there. When you ask about the headlight lenses, are you reffering to the plastic or glass cover over the headlights themselves? |

First, thanks for the help so far. Second, sorry it took so long to reply, I just had 16 auctions of my stuff for sale on eBay end and I've been sending emails out like crazy. By headlights I mean the entire rectangular unit. Stock has the plastic cover that gets all hazed over and scuffed. I was interested in purchasing aftermarket ones with a glass lense. One dealer has a set of headlights with matching corners that I was interested in. Judging by the price I don't think they're glass but they look great. This auction already ended but he has more, check it out:
