a Few quirks on my E30 that I didn't find on the Board

ok, I know I already posted today but here goes one more. I hope this helps others as well:

1) Windshield Washer System: I have no water coming to the little jets on the hood. The motor sprays out water from the reservoir super strong. I checked the hoses going thru the hood up to the "splitter" in the top center...removed the splitter and found it very difficult to blow air thru it (didn't try a high pressure air hose yet). The tubes themselves are hard to blow thru as well.
Does the splitter need to be replaced?? Or maybe the hoses as well?

2) The driver door lock has a little problem. When you lock it with the key, you have to pull the handle, then it makes a clunk, and then all two doors lock. Anyone else ever have this happen or have a simple fix?

I like every little thing on the car to work. It rarely rains here, so I don't need the washer system, but maybe someone else has had this.

For the washer issue just replace the "T-splitter" with one you can get from a hardware store or a local auto parts store. You may need to cut it to fit. Mine did the same thing as yours. This soution solved my problem.

Fixed

I replaced the T-Splitter as well as the hoses (nightmare) and now my windshield washers work once again!

Also, the cruise control does not work...its a 325i 5 speed. Any Clues on what this could be??

Yup, that little splitter valve gets clogged up and it stops spraying. You may also need to soak the nozzles in CLR or equivalent overnight to get the calcium deposits out of there. (at least I had to).

AS for the Cruise Control, the first thing to check is that the relay is good, from there, check the mechanical connection between the actuator, cable and throttle body. Sometimes they just need to be re-adjusted to take up the slack in the cable from years of wear.
