Need help with alarm/keyless entry install, please!

1992 325i

Ok, so all I want to do is install my keyless entry kit in my car. The problem is that the previous owner did a really ****ty install of an alarm/remote starter/keyless entry that didn't even work. I removed all of the old cheap crap that he put in but now I am left if just a bunch of cut wires and no clue. I purchased the Stellar Keyless Entry System (BMW45p) from bavarian autosport. I (being an idiot) cut the harness connector off the keyless module figuring that I could just color-match the wires under the dash and solder everything together.

Well, the colors aren't the same and I don't have a diagram or pin-out for the BMW45p unit or the BMW factory wires. If anyone could help me out with any diagrams, suggestions or anything I would be very happy. There are only a few wires on the BMW45p unit: a +12v (red), ground (black) and then an Orange [LAMP], Yellow [ACC], Green/White [COM] and Blue/White [COM]. Anyone have any guesses?

Wow, looks like you're going to have to drag out the multimeter, set it to 12VDC, and start looking for what does what on your wire leads. I'm guessing for the most part the vehicle wires are for power, ground, running light leads (for the flash of the alarm 'arm'), and possibly starter interupt (I hate starter interupts, because if your alarm goes kookey, your car can't start and will just die on your where you are... not a good thing). There may also be wires for the power door locks, but it's so hard to say from this end.

As for the alarm, the common lines may be for door locks, triggers for the 'door open switch', or the starter interrupt... don't know. I'd get the primary stuff hooked up first, make sure it works right, then track down the periphials (i.e., the other functions that are not critical). Does this alarm have the shock sensor on it and other basic components?

There is a wiring diagram n the Bentley repair manual. Post a list of the car side wires you have and I'll tell what the are listed as on the diagram.

If you have 92 325, like I do, probably you don't have PnP connector which is normally located under glove box. E36 after 93, they have such a plug and installation is quite easy.
I was able to install 45p. I did hardwire keyless module to power door locks module which is located also under glove box.
Red (pin1) from your 45p is +12V- it should go Red/green on pin3 power door module
black 45p (pin 3) is just a ground.
45p pin 9 (white/black) is lock and should go to white/red/yelow pin24 power door module
45p pin 10 is unlock (pink/black) goes to blue/red/yelow pin 25 power door module
45p pin 8 (yelow) is the flash light confirmation and should go to crash module (if you lucky have one, I don't) pin 2 blue/green/yelow).
no crash controle- connect yelow to directly to hazard switch pin 2 blue/brown and your lights will blink when you lock/unlock doors.

Your car might have slightly different wiring (colors) so be carefull.

I read again your post and see that you have different colors on your 45p.
OK- looking at your 45p counting from right to left you should have
red (12v) then empty wire(pin), then lock wire (mine is white/black), then empty, then unlock (mine is pink/black) , then ground black, then again 12v red, then unused and unused (probably you may use it to starter lock), then (last one) flash lights conf (mine is yelow).
I bough mine year ago so again they might change some internal wireing.
If you still have BMW's 12 pin connector which should come with 45p best way to confirm pinout is looking at that connector.
